My dad uses this place for his weekly take away. He then invited the family here for his 70th birthday. Service was great and the workers said hello to all of us before sitting. Food was lovely and plenty! Yes it’s only a small place but they couldn’t do enough for us! Thank you so much for making my dads birthday a great one.
This was our first time in this restaurant, and although it was only us we very much enjoyed the food, the service was excellent. We are delighted to have found this place and will definitely be going again, and ordering a delivery, and recommending to family and friends. Thank you loved it.Food: 5/5
I have had takeaway from The Jaipur every other week since I moved in round the corner in October. I usually find Indian takeaway too oily but I have never been disappointed with this one. The staff are lovely and the food is always delicious. Thank you! I can’t wait till the restaurant is open again so I can experience the food and service in house :-
I'm never one to leave a bad review, but this place has given me the worst service I have ever had. We entered to an empty restaurant with an older gentleman who had a horrible attitude. We ordered a starter of poppadoms and chutney and then asked for some tap water to be then told "we don't serve tap water, only bottle water or alcohol we are a proper restaurant" we looked past this but then had him forcing us to order more food when we said we wanted more time he then said "no you need to order now". We decided to just get the bill and was told £8 for 4 poppadoms and chutney. When we queried this we was told service charge was added on because we dared to sit down and use the plates to eat, i politey reminded him we was leaving due to the lack of service. We gave the guy £6 cash and walked out. I would never enter this establishment again, and advise others to do the same.
My sports team descended on this place. 14 of us already 2 pints down and ready for a decent curry. They most certainly delivered! All of our food arrived pretty much at the same time and piping hot. I personally had the mixed grill and it was tasty with just the right amount of spicy kick. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars is that we drank them out of lager. It may have just been a clever ploy to get us out of there.
I am happy with my recent Jaipur meal. I gave it four stars for a well prepared clean meal. I just wished the food had less salt in it, and the poppadoms were made to order. The packaging is good and very easy to recycle: tin containers with cardboard tops. The tin can go into the dishwasher and then in the recycling bin for collection. Some more info will come as I try more items from the menu. The meals we ordered were pilau rice, chicken Kormas, and a Chicken Rezala with fresh Naan and poppadoms that were made earlier in the day. If you like dining at the restaurant the dining area is very clean and well presented. They can accommodate parties as large as 18, most evenings with a reservation. I like the staff there and the service is good. I always feel takeaway meal portions are larger than meals in the restaurant.
This really is the best curry house in Wandsworth, they are currently takeaway only. Food is always of a high standard and not over priced. Staff are really friendly and helpful. It's been in our neighbour for 21 years under same the ownership. I definitely recommend.
2.5 stars. We ordered 4 curry dishes. Good portions, 2 were good 2 weren't. Smallest prawns ever seen in the prawn curry. Onion bhajis were chewy. Was given vanilla coke instead of normal coke and when I asked to change it, they did but also told me vanilla has more flavour and is nicer.
Amazing food- delivery is quick and always had a great curry from here. We usually order every Saturday and the food always comes very hot never cold, Would definitely recommend to order from here.
Its a good place to get authentic South Asian curries. We had the lamb balti and saag aloo and both were perfect, not too spicy and well seasoned. The menu is very well priced as well. Go for the dishes that are actually South Asian and try to resist these modern anglicised dishes.
