What an amazing place for lunch! One of the best restaurants we’ve been to in a very long time. Service excellent, food delicious and an ambiance to savour and enjoy. Thank you Ivy and our server, Cameron, we had a wonderful lunch. We were given surprise birthday cakes to celebrate our birthdays, such a lovely touch. A meal to remember. Can’t recommend it enough.
Absolutely Fantastic Awesome staff, very friendly and professional Amazing food very tasty and extremely well presented. Extremely clean and well dressed restaurant. Clean toilets with excellent soap and drying facilities. I had the Fillet Steak which was extremely tender and full of flavour Char grilled and red and juicy on the inside. I also had a trifle for dessert which was awesome, lots of fluffy cream edible plants and butterfly, most almond sponge and fruity jelly filling with lavender. It was an absolutely fantastic experience and I will go again Vegetarian options: Full Vegan and Vegetarian Menu Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entry
Really nice long lunch, and looked after by Cameron who made the lunch very special with attentive service and nothing was too much trouble. Great food and a nice little celebration chocolate at the end. Thoroughly enjoyed our time at the ivy.Food: 5/5
Had a lovely meal out to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The food and drinks were delicious, very reasonably priced, and the additional birthday dessert was such a lovely touch! I also have the say that the vegetarian menu was fantastic. Our waiter Cameron couldn’t have been nicer, nothing was too much trouble and he was very knowledgeable.
Wwnt for afternoon tea for my friends birthday. We had some dietary requests which I phoned through the day beyond they were very helpful, also mentioned it was my friends birthday and they said they will do a birthday cake complimentary. The afternoon tea was the best I've had and we couldn't manage it all and took some home Vegetarian options: I just mentioned I was vegetarian but didn't realise there was a separate stand with my own sandwiches, I was happy to just share with my friend she would have the meat ones and I would have the veggie one. Pleasantly surprised.
My recent visit to the Ivy Brasserie in Bath was an absolutely wonderful experience, thanks in large part to Maddie, our exceptional waitress, who went above and beyond to make our day memorable. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was just as I had hoped—charming, elegant, and inviting. The restaurant’s decor struck the perfect balance between modern chic and timeless elegance, with warm lighting that created a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. The attention to detail in the design truly added to the experience. The food was equally delightful. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted as wonderful as it looked. I ordered the [specific dish if you’d like to mention one], which was cooked to perfection, with flavors that balanced and complemented each other perfectly. The menu offered a great selection of dishes, and the chef’s creativity was clear in every bite. But what truly made the experience outstanding was Maddie. She was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, always present without being intrusive. Maddie seemed to know exactly when we needed her and when we were happy to just enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Her warm personality made us feel welcome, and she took the time to explain dishes, answer questions, and recommend a few items. Her passion for the menu was clear, and her enthusiasm was contagious! Maddie had a wonderful way of making us feel like we were her only guests, even though the restaurant was bustling. She brought a personal touch that’s hard to find and helped make our meal feel special and personal. Her service went beyond the standard and genuinely made our day. By the time we left, it felt like we’d been hosted by a friend. Overall, Ivy Brasserie Bath provided a fantastic dining experience, from the delicious food to the exquisite ambiance. But it’s Maddie’s remarkable service that stood out and made the day unforgettable. I would highly recommend Ivy Brasserie, and I sincerely hope to see Maddie again on my next visit—she’s truly a credit to the restaurant!
We recently visited this restaurant for lunch with my husband and daughter, having previously enjoyed several locations of The Ivy across the UK, which set our expectations quite high. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated at a table without a white cloth, unlike some others, but this minor inconsistency didn't trouble us too much. Despite the bustling and lively atmosphere typical of a Bank Holiday weekend, the service began on a promising note when Luke, our server, assured us he would be taking care of us. Unfortunately, the experience began to falter from there. After ordering our drinks, another gentleman took our food orders. I opted for afternoon tea, yet curiously, he didn't inquire about my preference for tea or coffee—later, I had to request a coffee specifically. This same oversight extended to my daughter, as he failed to ask what she would like to eat. When the food arrived, the delivery of my husband's steak tartare was notably slow, and a chip was carelessly dropped onto his plate without an apology, reflecting a rushed service. While the afternoon tea was satisfactory, it lacked any distinctive flair. The service missteps continued as the same server, in his haste to clear our plates, accidentally knocked over a green juice, causing it to splatter over a chair and my bag—a regrettable end to our meal. Despite enjoying a nicely filtered coffee served in The Ivy's typical silverware, the overall service was disappointingly poor. It was evident that significant improvements are necessary to meet the standards expected at The Ivy. Regrettably, we do not plan to return. Kid-friendliness: Ok for kids Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access with wheelchair however toilets are downstairs
Had an absolutely splendid dinner here with the wife. The service was great, the food was hot and tasty, the menu had good options and was reasonably priced for the area. The upstairs dining area was even more beautiful than the charming downstairs and I will be very glad to bring friends and family here in future. Would highly recommend Parking: There is a paid parking lot near the train station that almost always has space, is reasonably priced and is only a short walk from the high street.
Whilst the decor, overall appearance and reputation of The Ivy is grandeur, the experience of dining here was relatively average. I ordered the sirloin steak, which okay, it was cooked well and tasted okay, but i’ve had better elsewhere. More importantly, I don’t believe it is worth £27.95. To then have to pay extra per side, which was a simple dollop of mash at £4.75 and some broccoli at £5.95, this really wasn’t a worthy almost £40 meal. Overpriced is what springs to mind. We also ordered sourdough bread as a starter, which was forgotten and we had to remind them to bring it out after our mains had already hit the table. My partner and I attended as a belated birthday meal for myself and safe to say we were disappointed and probably wouldn’t bother coming here again.
While the atmosphere was nice, I wouldn’t rush back, especially considering the price point. We had breakfast there and the food was average; the eggs were overcooked although I would recommend the smoothie. Also mixed experience with staff - some were incredibly helpful and lovely, whilst others were terse and rushed.Food: 3/5
