We had been told about the Irish Rock 'N' Roll Museum by a family member who had visited a while back. I had added it to the list of things to do when visiting Dublin and made sure that we carved out some time for it. And, man, was it worth it! My dad, sister, and I had a great time with our tour guide, Brian. He was knowledgeable and had so many wonderful stories of the musicians that have graced the halls. His personal touches really made the experience. As musicians, it was really enjoyable to see all the different aspects of the studio. Our favorite part was the Thin Lizzy room with the Neve mixing console. My dad is a recording engineer and hadn't seen one of those in person in many, many years. There were only about 9 people 4 groups on our tour total, so we were able to ask tons of questions and take as many pictures as we wanted. This day ended up being one of my favorite days in Dublin! Big thank you to Brian!
Amazing museum, lovely tour by our exceptional tour guide Scott. Recommend it any day of the week… Also, you never know, you might bump into a rock legend. Scott is extremely professional, it was a pleasure to be guided by him, and they also played a song together with my boyriend we had a really nice time.
Fantastic! If you love rock at all, it’s a must do stop! They have so many amazing things to see and the tour guides and people working there love their job. Shout out to Glenn, very passionate and loves what he’s doing. P.S. Glenn, if you’re reading this and interested in more Ghost, I Recommend Cirice, Ritual, Rats, Dance Macabre, and From The Pinnacle To The Pit
Very pleasant experience, especially for something called a museum. But instead of seeing a boring exposition, this tour is about hearing all the interesting stories that are presented by a tour guide. You will hear about the history and what formed the Irish music culture, the biggest starts, and the current bands. I strongly recommend. It will tell you about Irish culture more than any monument sightseeing of the city.
Well what can I say but this was exceptional. Allan our guide was so knowledgeable and so passionate it was an experience in itself. The depth of Irish music was amazing. We nearly didn't go but saw a review of Allan and decided to go we are so happy we did.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
The guided tour absolutely exceeded my expectations. Alan is the best tour guide I've ever met. I even got to play the drums with one of the artists at the studio making me feel like a rock star performing for a wee crowd.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to learn about Irish music. I genuinely can't think of any flaw with the museum or the tour. Our tour guide Brian was absolutely fantastic and charismatic.
Amazing tour, such interesting information about their bands and current musicians who use the space. Such fun and interactive rooms and time to play the instruments and play dress up in some costumes. Our tour guide Brian was so helpful and had so many funny stories to tell us including the artists displayed. Would definitely recommend to a music lover.
Finally the museum is open after covid. We had a great tour with Christina. The tour is more about Irish rock and recording studio, but I liked it a lotVisited onWeekdayWait time30–60 min
Had a great time at the tour this morning with Alan! I’m visiting Dublin for work commitments, and was stuck on things to do. I’m so glad I ended up going here today ! Alan was so friendly, and kept everyone involved, thanks Alan! ‍
