We've photographed so many weddings at Dublin City Hall and each one is special for us. Our couples typically have a laid back vibe but the main ceremony hall feels grand without feeling stuffy. The wings of Dublin City Hall lend themselves perfectly to a drinks reception on one side and a very beautiful naturally lit option for group photos on the other - like seriously its probably one of the best indoor locations of any venue for group photos! Our couples typically opt for a near by restaurant for their reception. We love this ceremony location and the staff are always so professional and courteous. We can't wait to be back photographing city weddings here again! ig: @honeyandthemoonphotography
City hall is my favourite venue to photograph weddings. No matter the size of your wedding the sense of occasion you get being surrounded by the stunning architecture. The ability to be able capture so awesome photos either in cityhall or surrounding areas like temple bar is a photographers dream. Highly recommended but get booking asap. See you guys again soon Andy @forgedinlovephotography
Very well operated place, free visit. There are some steps up to the inside of the city hall so it may be difficult for wheelchair users accessible.
Fabulous wedding venue ! Always a big pleasure to photograph weddings there, stunning venue and very friendly staff. Highly recommended
Beautiful Wedding venue. Such an underrated important and historical building. It was amazing and photographed beautifully. The staff involved in the planning were so helpful and easy to contact.
Perfect city wedding venue. Stunning place.
City Hall Dublin - Great free attraction that I stumbled across. Very close to the castle, with a sign for free exhibition. You walk into this beautiful hall with a dome ceiling. Amazing statues, mosaic artwork, ornate pillars, marble and ornate detailing. Plus only 1 other person in there You can then go downstairs, lift available if needed. They have a cute cafe that you can sit inside or out, some gifts. And a lovely friendly lady that shows you the entrance to the exhibition. The exhibition runs through a few rooms starting at the very beginning with the Vikings to current day. Lots of photo boards, so easy to read historical information. Plus lots of exhibition pieces to look at and take photos. Would highly recommend as free, really interesting and not busy
Very nice and impressive building from 18th century with my admiration for the Irish architecture of that time. Inside you see the nice floor, ceiling and statues. There is also a small museum in the basement. Interesting visit.
Beautiful and iconic place, one of the must see on the map of Dublin. It won't t take much time to go through small exhibition but the main feature here is a XVIII century's neo-classical architecture, beautifully decorated dome shaped ceiling with omvredible plasterwork and majestic columns. Also super fancy and modern glass & brass lift, you feel almost like in the space ship. It's a very popular venue for weddings, official and corporate events, so it maybe closed for the public from time to time.
Building dates from 18 century, it's located in Dublin city center - Dame street. It's next to the Dublin castle, so it's great to do both tours. In city hall you'll find beautiful exhibition about historical Dublin.
