The service and atmosphere was very good and i recommend having a coffee and pastries and simply enjoying the atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the place is clean with a lot of spaces. At lunch time i ordered a grilled chicken salad, grilled chicken burger and pasta with tomato sauce for kids and unfortunately i don't recommend it as the taste wasn't good. The chicken had that taste from like it was made yesterday. The pasta sauce was way too sweet and our little one didn't like it. The location is very good as it is exactly near the playground and you can watch your child from the table.
I’ve seen this café in the park for years and dismissed it so many times because I thought it would be mediocre, over priced, tourist cafe food … how wrong I was! This little café has a cracking breakfast menu. Sooooo many tasty treats. Dog friendly. Decent coffee. Good service. Nice atmosphere. It can get busy, but that’s testament to how good it is. The vege sausage roll was very tasty. I’m not vegetarian, so I don’t know why I tried it, but I’m very happy I did. Very good pastel de natas. Banana bread was a bit dry for my taste. Good coffee & puppy/babyccino. Their poached eggs and huevos rancheros looked really good! I’ll definitely be going back.
This is one of the two cafes in Victoria Park although this one is next to the children's playground rather than the lake. You've also got public toilets here which is handy. The cafe itself is very popular and with good reason. They put on a range of hot and cold food items with enough choice for everyone. Service is also quick and helpful. Even better you can bring your dog inside if they're on a lead.
Really nice cafe in the park. The was a line but it moved decently quick. The baked goods were excellent. I’m gluten free and there were options for me. There are very nice bathrooms off the cafe, too. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.
Great breakfast, lovely coffee and staff Excellent selection of artisan bakes I had the chocolate chia pot, and avo on toast, went back the next day I was so impressed and had the Mexican breakfast. All ethically produced, some good vegan choices. Plenty of seating outside and dogs are allowed in on leads. Wish I lived closer Parking: Parking nearby at st marks gate
We've never eaten here, always coming on the Sunday when the market is on, but coming from the other side of the park we always stop here to get a drink and have a sit down with the dog. It's clearly a popular place as there's so many people there even on a rainy day - though they're probably all hiding under cover like us!Service: 5/5
The hub is located right next door to both the kids' play park and skate park, so it is most definitely classed as a family environment. The staff are nice. It's rather pricey, and the portions/cups are small.Food: 3/5
Very busy park cafe, they have toys for children as well, and are situated right next to a large playground. Food is freshly prepared and very good, but the children's meals are a little too involved with garnishes that kids don't usually enjoy. However, for a park café they're great, prices are reasonable and staff is friendly. It does get very noisy when it's full due to the way it's built, but when the weather is warmer the sides open to the park, which is lovely!
Having read the other comments I agree this place is pricey, especially if you're popping in to get juices for kids. But I really like this place, the coffee and cakes are great and the staff are friendly. Great location and dog friendly. There is a really relaxed vibe inside and it's in an amazing location.
Lovely little cafe in the middle of the north part of Victoria Park, with nice selection of food cooked, sandwiches & pastries, snacks, drinks, ice cream, etc. Also has a toilet, usually accessible when the cafe is closed - great for emergency wee stops. Bike stands near by too which is useful if you want to lock your bike and have a walk on foot & an outside table tennis table if you fancy a bit of sunny ping pong
