Stars are only for the happy hour specials: 2 for £10 cocktails that are decent or 4 beers for £10. So if your mission is to be tipsy quickly in a quirky bar this place is for you. No Wifi. Vegan food after 5p. Our bartender was great.
This bar is good, friendly staff, good drinks. Nice outside area - will be great to sit out there in the Summer. Pity that the drinks seem to have gone up in price. £7.50 for a glass of prosecco but the shocker was the espresso martinis - £13.50 each - really??? Was also disappointed to find that if you pay with card, you can't leave a tip for the staff...Not cool.
very rude waitress just sat here and already regretted. Happy hour: 2 cocktail for £10 good we asked for a Moscow mule and a white Russian both on the list she said: "it must be the same cocktail good can we have then 2 Moscow mule and 2 white Russian, please? just...can you bring a Moscow mule and a white Russian first and then the other two? she: "no, it must be at the same time the same cocktails at the same time? good would have we paid for 4 cocktails? yes would have made any difference for her? no next time maybe add this stupid rules on the flyer guys
A very nice afternoon visit. Was quite so it was a nice place to stop for a glass of wine while doing some work on the laptop.
We were going out for a dinner and decided to stop here for a quick tipple. Found it a strange place, maybe because we're not hipsters! Over priced drinks, flat lemonade and the barman's attitude and service was poor
I asked them for coke, it didn't taste like coke. It tasted like someone mixed a bit of coke with water. When I asked them what is it, they told me it's syrup mixed with soda water. It would be nice if they told clients what they really sell to them.Food: 1/5
Edit: actually came back to say it's even worse than the original review. £10 minimum on card, as if it's a corner shop. Staff are incompetent. A cocktail bar that can't make a mojito isnt going to rank highly. Ordered one and it just tastes like cheap sugar water. Nearly no mint, can't taste the rum. Worth adding that the bar staff had no service skills; their cold approach almost an antidote to this heat wave.
The staff is nice but the cocktails were not. We had to ask if we could change drinks, it was undrinkable. My amaretto sour tasted like sugar with a hint of amaretto, no sour at all. They redid it and it was a bit better but still not an amaretto sour.
On Friday evening at about 8:30pm I walked past this place. I had been several times before so I knew it would be a god place to get out of the cold and have a quick drink on my way home. It was -3 degrees and the place wasn't even a third full. Most of the tables were empty. The doorman asked to look in my messenger bag and then asked if I was alone. I said I was, he then informed me that I could go in. I asked why I wasn't being allowed in, apparently they have been told that single people are not allowed in on their own in case they get to drunk, fall over and don't have anyone to look after them or take them home. I understand not letting large groups of men in, or intoxicated people. I am 41, a therapist and I had only had one pint earlier that day. All I wanted to do was get out of the cold, charge my phone for a bit and have a drink. I asked to speak to the manager who apparently wasn't available. Terrible policy and the door staff should be allowed to use their own judgement rather than turning someone away on what was a quiet and extremely cold night.
Great service great drinks really cool bar. Limited atmosphere was pretty empty on a Tuesday night.
