Met a friend who was travelling the canals there for a Sunday lunch. I had heard the pub was popular so was worried because I hadn't booked. In the event there was no problem and we were seated straight away. We had the roast beef Sunday lunch for £9.90 and it was quite honestly one of the best Sunday lunches I've ever eaten out, if not the best. Lots of good meat, the roasties (always a good leveller) were superb, and the cauliflower was out of this world, and I don't like cauliflower. A big helping but manageable! Had with a pint of Shropshire Lad at a decent £3.10. Great value. Drop a star for the quality of the tables and the muddy car park but these are cosmetic only, everything else top notch.

Great stop for boaters and not snooty about dogs, boots and kids. REALLY good selection of beers. It’s one of those faux-posh not-a-pub, not-a-restaurant type places. Very comfortable. The big let down is they had 1 vegetarian option on the menu, and it wasn’t exactly thrilling. This did convince us to go for a banging Indian takeaway instead, so great result at the end of the day.

Superb Tapas type food. But this month it's Asian based , tremendous. The beers are great as well. Helpful non intrusive staff.

Lovely pub/restaurant, very friendly staff, fantastic food, we go at least once a month and have always thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend.

Beware of being conned! We ordered 3 tapas for the £12.95 deal and then ordered some more food, including a few cheaper tapas. When we came to pay the tapas had been "redistributed" so that we had to pay 2 times the £12.95 deal, which was more expensive than the way we ordered it. When I complained all I got was a shrug of the shoulders.
