Brilliant English pub! They serve food too! It's dog friendly! And it got seating outside during the summer too. Staff are friendly. One of the best pubs I've been to all over the UK.

Friendly "old fashioned" British pub which serves excellent food and has a great atmosphere! We arrived really early for our 11pm ferry so this was the perfect place to eat and relax beforehand. The moules mariners was delicious! Friendly staff ready to have a laugh with us.

Lovely Barstaff, great atmosphere and a quirky decor that I loved.The cask ale smashing and as for the food SPOT ON I had the pie home made mash creamy and fresh Savoy cabbage and carrots Simon had some of the plumpest and best muscles he. Can remember.All in all great place we will definitely be back when we are down this way

A friendly popular pub very near Newhaven Harbour Arm West of the river. A great place for campervans on a budget - they are permitted overnight down by the arm for a small fee where there is also a seafood shack and decent coffee van. Very windy on windy days, but can be sunny when the sun is out.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere but the food is fantastic. Proper home cooked food/"pub grub", generous portions and reasonable price for what you get. 100% recommend

The atmosphere was very nice, The service was also good. The food was nice, just a little too much salt on the cabbage. Otherwise, it was a very nice meal. Car parking was opposite the Hope Inn. A very nice view of the harbour, if you are upstairs .

Great little pub located at the side of Newhaven arm. Great views from the outside seating area. Drinks are a good price and the staff are very warm and welcoming. Edit: This place has been revamped and really looks the part. Staff are still very friendly and now they have introduced a quiz night if that's your thing. It's a lovely place!

Hands down the best gluten-free fish and chips I've ever had. Portions are humongous. The staff are so lovely and attentive. Unpretentious proper pub which we love coming to regularly.

Lovely harbourside pub small selection of food had Scampi chips and peas and partner had the house burger , food very nice and quick Service staff lovely and friendly even dogs got a treat .

Lovely seating area outside, watching the boats and world go by. Fab food and great prices. Friendly staff too.
