"We are a very traditional pub in a quiet village, overlooking Newhaven and the Ouse Valley. We pride ourselves in being a safe, friendly place for you to enjoy a drink or a lite bite.The pub is very much for drinking and socializing and is well used by our locals. We serve Harvey's and Long Man Ales, Guinness, Lagers and a selection of Ciders. Dozens of Spirits and a selection of Wines. Plus a good selection of Soft and Non-alcoholic drinks. A proper pub, freshly decorated with an external refurbishment still underway, great ale, Harvey's & Long Man, and a good value pizza, as the regular menu was suspended because of an event.
Definitely a pub for locals but a warm welcome for all. Food is available but old style pub grub.
Lovely friendly pub. A new staff member under instruction from the Landlord. He was lovely and patient with the young lad. Spoke to a few locals and had a great time. Beer was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Thank you to all the staff.
The food is absolutely terrible, all frozen or canned, the dishes were dirty, it was horrible, the cook should be ashamed. The toilets weren't very clean either. It's a shame, the garden is nice. But it's the worst meal we've had in the UK in a long long time !
Lovely pub I enjoy going there….
This is a proper little pub, great garden and it feels like an old school village pub we all use to know. Great staff and I always feel welcome. I cycle from rottingdean regularly for a pint or 4, it's a 18mile round trip so it must be good!
A lovely old school pub. Friendly staff, good beers, pool table, dart board and good size beer garden. Also an excellent beer stop if you are en route walking on the south downs to Firle and beyond
Love this pub, proper local happy to have well behaved dogs and children, there is a garden out back which they are currently improving. While they don't do an extensive menu they usually have pizza to hand several.varieties
Mel. Our cousin. We were at his wake. Drank a bit too much. Lovely Snake bites tho...hope the pubs doing ok without him!! We miss him.
This is a friendly and homely place to meet others. I went in the evening when there was live music Buckler's Reel and it was a good atmosphere. I think pubs like this should be supported. Will return at some point I live in Worthing!
