Delicious thin-based pizza last Sunday night - so fresh straight from the wood fired oven to our table - about 5 paces away! Very friendly staff and great service.
I ordered a Prosciutto pizza with extra mixed peppers, costing a total of £14. The below is what I got. A pizza with ham and less than a handful of tiny pepper squares. The pizza itself was also inedible. We also ordered the Antipasti selection which came with 1 sun dried tomato, and 2 small triangles of pizza base dough in place of the bread advertised. Really disappointed in the quality and will not be ordering from here again.
We had a perfect dinner sitting outside the restaurant enjoying a couple of chilled beers and some seriously tasty pizza. And guess what? The toppings were REALLY generous for once in London! I only took a pic of the garlic bread because as soon as I saw my pizza I had to just eat it, I was so hungry. The staff were friendly and the vibe was really relaxed and happy. Thanks guys!
Finally happy I've found a decent pizza. Tried a lot in local area none really hit the spot till now. Had the Diavola. Could have been a bit hotter temperature as im only up the road but a minor issue and didn't detract from the tasty and light pizza. Doesn't come sliced fyi.
Pizza is delicious. Staff are nice but not that friendly as such. Great for a good dinner - would recommend!
Given ham instead of prosciutto and the base is too thin almost like a tortilla. Not awful but definitely better pizza places nearby.Food: 2/5
The pizza here is great. I've ordered from here 4 or 5 times now and it's consistently great. I do wish their desserts weren't so expensive though. I've tried the banoffee slice once and loved it, but it's not worth half the cost of a pizza.
I went here for an evening meal with a friend and really glad that I did, the pizza base was the right thickness, it was nice and crispy on the edges and the dough was not soggy towards the middle. I ordered the vegetarian pizza and you can see clearly that the ingredients was fresh and was freshly prepared. The customer service was good and the waiter was attentive. I sat outside as it was sunny but you can see that inside the restuarant it was intimate and welcoming, you see can the chef making the pizza and cooking it in the wood fire oven giving the reastuarnt a feel of home. I would recommend the Honest Italian to my friends.
The best Italian I have had in years in the UK. 5 stars is not enough. Unbelievable pizza and always consistent.
So this place was recommended by my boyfriend who said they did great pizzas. Firstly I need to mention that I’m Italian and I know enough about pizzas. My boyfriend had forgotten his mask and rather than politely offer him a mask they said we can to eat outside. It wasn’t a warm evening and had been raining. I politely asked if they had a mask. Without responding the guy went to a cupboard at got one from a box. My boyfriend took it and we walked 2 steps to our table before removing our masks. Before I chose my Rocket pizza I asked if the Parma ham was Prosciutto crudo as I know from experience that it sometimes means cooked ham which I didn’t want. A Rocket pizza traditionally comes with shavings of Parmesan cheese and that’s what the menu said. The pizza base was very good which is why I gave this review this amount of stars but it was definitely was not Parmesan cheese. It was rubber and tasteless. The sauce was minimal and the Prosciutto was salty. Customer service when we arrived was not friendly. Honest Italian… not really.. sorry!!
