Enjoyed this place so much! We went on a Sunday when just the downstairs was open.  It fit about 3 people plus Michael the bartender.  We could have stayed there for hours chatting with him and listening to all the stories he shared about Ireland and the bar.  Couldn’t suggest this place enough

Great eccentric pub in Kilkenny city.  Part of the oldest townhouse in Kilkenny the bar is very small but it is worth squeezing in for a drink.  You never know what you might find inside maybe a storyteller or a musician or just a nice drink and great craic!  Upstairs often has live music gigs and this place is definitely unique.  100% recommend visiting if you are in the city. If

Great little venue with big upstairs space and small garden. Centrally located but secluded feel. Friendly staff and food drinks - try the espresso martini while it lasts.

Was the coolest little pub tucked back in the alley. Bartender was super knowledgable and taught us alot about Irish history.

Not a typical pub where you can go belly up to a bar and have a few pints or a meal, but my favorite stop in Kilkenny nonetheless. An absolute can’t miss if you want to hear some fascinating history presented by a very friendly and eccentric bartender. Can’t wait to go again!

Great place to visit and talk to Michael. Really is a hole in the wall. Entrance visible with sign by alley when open. Off Main Strret. No other entrance to tiny pub and small outside garden. Seating for 8 inside on stools. Very enjoyable. Good stories.

Micheal is an amazing host and Megan has a beautiful voice. If you want random laughs and learning new things this is the place to come! VERY welcoming.

We met Michael, the owner as our bartender. He was so kind, funny and friendly. We had a wonderful experience, talking with locals, hearing historical stories and having drinks

I recently moved to Kilkenny so I decided to drop into this lovely pub as I heard great things. I was not disappointed! Bartender J was a lovely girl! Got a great night out of her, the owner and three other complete strangers as we discussed Irish history and sang Fairy Tale of New York. An amazing night with amazing people. Could not recommend more. A MUST SEE!!

Had a great time with Michael!! We were walking around and stumbled on that place , could have drank there for a long time hearing stories about Ireland!
