Stopped in for lunch while walking through Kilkenny after visiting the castle. The Irish Stew was fantastic!! The staff was incredibly friendly as well. Perfect place to get a Guinness!
small and cozy, limited menu but what they do offer is done superbly! loads of draught options and super friendly staff.Food: 5/5
Went in for pints after dinner and a walk on a Monday. It was nice and warm with a fire going. Had an atmosphere of a traditional pub. Asked for water which was kindly handed to us but some of the glasses were dirty. Honestly the bartender didn’t seem the type you could ask for a fresh glass . So I waited a bit then asked for more water. All in all warm place for a pint
The best bar in Kilkenny, excellent pints, delicious whiskey and brilliant staff! Can't wait to be back! Food: 5/5
Best intimate music and theatre venue in the South East. Check out the gig listing. Always brilliant!Atmosphere: 5/5
Great atmosphere with gigs, drinks and foods
I went at lunch in a cold day of January to get a warm meal and relax with soup and a pint, I was with my Italian friend. We were treated badly. I think the blonde lady at the bar is a bit prejudiced against foreign tourists. She made us feel very unwelcome and couldn't wait for us to leave she was irritated by my friend's question about vegetable soup and told us to pay while we were still at the table getting ready to leave and she was behind the bar. I have been married to an Irish man for 18 years and I lived in Ireland I can recognize racism when I see it.
Good pub food and cozy little atmosphere. Got to drop in on some trad music session that’s been running for decades.
Had a brilliant time at the white horse guitar band concert. Great atmosphere there and friendly staffService: 5/5
