Very nice rural pub with a large free car park; easy to reach by car. Unfortunately, we only had an excellent freshly prepared! breakfast, but we'd certainly like to come back again sometime! There is also a large beer garden with a children's playground to the rear... By the way, breakfast starts at 9.00 a.m.!
Been here years ago, anhd the food was always good. I believe it was taken over by new owners and again, it's still really good. Been for two Sunday Lunches. And the portions are pretty big, and the food very tasty! My only gripe is the Sunday food options is very limited. I do get why it's limited though. Edit: So, as of 6/3/2022 went for Sunday lunch here. And can still confirm that it's still one of the best places I've ever been too for a roast. And even better, I remembered to take a picture this time. I still highly rate this place. I just wish they did more variety like, some pork or lamb. Since they still only serve turkey or beef for roasts.
Came for a Sunday roast recently and we were not disappointed. Due to me being a coeliac, the roast was all gluten free and the chef made me a separate dish of cauliflower cheese when I arrived. On a busy Sunday, I couldn’t of appreciated this more. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Good atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.
Visited for a very early morning Coffee and Classics car meet. Excellent fresh coffee but sadly we didn't try the breakfast. Next time maybe! Lovely old building and its only just off the A38. Nice looking menu with reasonable prices. Has a very inviting garden area with seating to the rear.
Tasty Sunday roast, well cooked and substantial portions. Attentive staff, Ellie was so helpful and friendly. No replacement for cauliflower cheese for coeliac and cheese hater! Otherwise it would have been another star.
Nice place! Overnight stay by van, if you get some food and some good otter ales too ;- ! Vegan and vegetarian options available!
food was nice and decent enough ....local cider was good service was ok ...location was good an overall 7/10 experience
Absolutely awful, ordered 2 Thai curries they were ridiculously salty. My wife couldn’t eat hers and I struggled my way through mine as we hate sending food back because we don’t like confrontation which I now regret as I now feel sick from the amount of salt. Feel like I’ve drunk salt water. When we asked for a refund the manager didn’t even speak to us just told us the amount without speaking, like we were in the wrong. The only saving grace was the waitress was lovely. Such a shame as the setting is lovely.
** Dog friendly ** lovely food served by friendly waitresses who checked on us plenty of times. The pub was quiet but we turned up 45 minutes before they started serving food. Nice atmosphere and a choice of places to sit, either comfy sofas or dinning tables. Would definitely return.
Found this place on Britstops so stayed in the campervan over night, beautiful place, real nice field to park up in and top quality pub would highly recommend! Very dog friendly even having dog poop bins on site!
