Newly refurbished. Excellent food, not pricey with super customer service. Anyone wishing to find a pub at the end of a walk along the Cockoo Trail won’t be disappointed. Only negative is no garden but don’t let that put you off! Caters for Gluten Free and dog friendly.

Not a good experience !!! ..i had booked a table for 6pm for 5 people for my daughters birthday.. when i booked i asked if they done a carvery or roast ..was told yes roasts were served along with the restaurant menu ..which was fine as i knew we would all probably have a nice roast dinner!!. All sat down ordered drinks ..restaurant menu was placed on our table.i then asked what the roasts were?was told no roasts as they had run out !!!!. I mentioned to the waiter we all wanted a roast and specifically asked when i booked the table about roasts,so im afraid we drank up paid for our drinks and left.wont be going there again !!

Service was excellent. We could not have asked for more from the young waiter and waitress. Please, please support our country and only buy British or local beef. My sirloin steak was tender and cooked to perfection. When I asked for English mustard it came in a plastic Heinze bottle. Please buy British condiments and present them in a better way. The big question my wife and I asked is will we be going back. A big yes. Please buy British and local produce and market the fact you are supporting locally sourced food. Google please take old negative feedback prior to the new ownership and refurbishment. Good luck Heathfield Tavern M. Mearns
