What a fantastic meal my family and I had. It is hard to find a pub that does great food since COVID.
December 2023nForesters Christmas lunch. 13 of us altogether. Warm welcome, swift service, all three courses were served individually on time, so we all ate together. All of us enjoyed our dishes, my goats cheese and beetroot tart was so tasty and the pastry was lovely. Sea bass, really lovely, plum and ginger pudding with custard was a pleasant change and really nice. I would highly recommend Christmas lunch here and as per my previous reviews, eat here for any occasion. Superb. Thank you to the whole Tavern team .nnOctober 2023. Visited again with my friend from when our children were toddlers, she had travelled quite a distance so it was so good to have a warm welcome and the most delicious fish and chips! I have had to edit this old review as it seems I can't write a new one.. I visited here again tonight, Saturday is 21st August 2021 after two years, due to lockdown. There were 13 of us, all well behaved! ladies from regular fitness classes. The food was excellent, the service, friendly and efficient, the staff went out of their way, even moving tables soon after we all arrived, so we could all be together. Visited Heathfield Tavern for our office Christmas party in December and a birthday party a couple of months prior. I already cannot wait to go back! The food was excellent & the service was fantastic!
We stopped off here for a meal on the way somewhere and I'm glad we did. We had made a booking however when we got there there was plenty of tables free. We sat down and the lovely waitress took our drinks order, 1x prosecco, 1x coke, 1x wine and 1x G&T, we were then left to browse the menu. Again Halloumi made an appearance so I opted for that, it was amazing! So amazing I completely forgot to take a picture of it! Then we had....1x pie and mash as recommended by the waitress, 1x burger, 1x philly cheese steak sandwich and 1x cajun chicken sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their meal and said how tasty everything was. Our bill came to £77 including tips.nThe venue was clean and tidy and the loos were clean too.
Excellent service. Sunday roasts are amazing and great value for money. Week day menu covers all tastes. Highly recommend.
