Well there's posh wetherspoons and theres not so posh wetherspoons..This is an awesome wetherspoons..its massive and off the main rd in Whickham so you cant miss it. I had a few pints whilst waiting for a lift home..whilst there i was welcomed & served by a lady with a nice smile & manner about her..the food that was coming from the kitchen looked very nice & plentiful..Theres lots of beers-ales to choose from and it wasnt that packed. I managed to take a few pics but didnt want to attract attention to my self..i managed tofund the loo and Wow what a swanky loo, even got a fireplace ..marks outta 10 i give it an 13/10 yes i will most certainly be going back..
The most innovative spoons i’ve been! I’ve never seen such beautiful miniature wings in my whole life! My hamster loves it, definitely worth £3.06!!! The world is amazing, thanks jesus, Amen
Love coming here. Great pint and food has always been delicious The queue system is not a real thing though.
Great atmosphere for a lunchtime date with my husband. Lovely food as always. We love the value for money here and its our favourite family spot to get something to eat.
Very disappointing visit to Harry Clasper, Whickham this afternoon. Went for lunch with friends, asked a member of staff to warm up some spaghetti for my 8 month old daughters lunch to be told they weren’t allowed because of cross contamination. I fully understand concerns for this, however they say they are a family establishment therefore surely they would provide a microwave for customers to use for their babies to avoid using the kitchens where their food is cooked. I asked how I was meant to feed my baby to only be told ‘sorry’. This particular member of staff was very abrupt and had already been abrupt with the rest of my party before I got there about blocking a threw fair, which again is understandable but the way we were spoken to was just rude. I even asked for a bowl of hot water so I could try and heat my child’s food up in that and was still told no!! Now that is absolutely ridiculous. Because of this, we left immediately and went to Oli and Joes along the road who were extremely accommodating and had no issues warming my daughters food. Terrible customer service and will not go back again.
Real beauty with the most beautiful toilet i have seen
Interior is nicely done, but unfortunately the food does not live up to the decor. This has to be one of the worst in the north east chain for food, although they manage a decent Eggs Benedict & Full English in the morning. Anything else, just stick to the beer.
Nice atmosphere, Lovely staff !!, good beer and reasonable price, always have a good night there
A friendly and welcoming pub with all the Weatherspoon trimmings. The beer is decently priced and a good range is stocked. No Fosters though. Given it was mixed weather in my visit, I initially sat outside in a screened off seating area which was probably introduced during Covid and has remained to this day. Toilets were clean. Worthy of a stop-off off you are in Whickham.
One of the best weatherspoons I've been in, for friendly staff, cleanliness on table cleaning and toilets spotless.
