After extensive research of pubs/cafes in the area, I started using this pub for my knit and natter group meeting about 2 years ago. The staff are all amazing, nothing is too much bother, breakfasts are the best around! I now also bring my gin group here every couple of months, I’ve never had a complaint from any of my members. And this year my knit and natter group, gin group and U3A group have all had our Christmas meal here, all meals highly successful! Thank you to all the staff! Lesley xx
This is a friendly pub with some good ales and a nice menu of very good value food. They use a Carolina Reaper chilli sauce. Great with cauliflower "wings" which you can get in different sizes up to a 1kg bucket! You can also have it on a burger. The landlord is nice and will give you a warm welcome. The pub is pretty large so it is usually no problem getting a table. It is all open plan so feels very spacious.
Visited The Bridle Path Pub for the first time and was really impressed. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. A great pub if you are wanting to watch sport and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back again.
I came here to order food and a drink today. I came in found a seat and went to look at the food menu. When I'd decided what I wanted from a nice looking menu I went to order what I wanted. Taking my table number in my head I approached the bar area. It had a few people in and a nice atmosphere. I waited for the lady serving at the opposite end of the bar as she chatted with the people; I thought great nice and friendly as the reviews said. Sadly though although I was standing at an empty part of the bar so I couldn't be mistaken with anyone else having been served etc staff member came to the pumps beside me to pour a drink, never even acknowledged me or said won't be a minute etc and then they went back to the other end of the bar, sadly this made me put on my coat and leave. I don't expect to skip any queue etc but I do at least wish to be acknowledged. Lost a drinks and food order. Didn't think businesses could afford to turn away. Sadly 1/5 because I couldn't put lower ...really disappointed...went elsewhere
Pool table charges £1.50 to your card but does not drop the balls every time!!!! I asked a barman for help only to be informed that there was nothing he could do I don't think I will be inclined to return in a hurry. Be careful people is all I am saying.
Too many tv screens and music too loud for a pleasant midweek pint. Shame really as there were enough folk in to have had a nice buzz about it without all the din.
A pub on the main road with limited parking at the front. If you're after a good peaceful drink go in the door on the right at the front of the pub. You'll walk into like a little lounge with maybe half a dozen tables, go to the left and you'll enter a huge bar area. The bar itself basically in the middle with service from all sides. An area in one corner for a pool table, another separate area for darts. From were I was sitting I counted 8 TVs including the one behind me, with the sound off and music playing to suit everyone. A very popular all round pub by the way it filled up while we were there. Possibly a beer garden at the rear.
Good food, quick service and decent surroundings. It's worth a visit.
Great pub, really nice pint pulled by Dora the bar maid, she was really friendly and gave suggestions on lager and food. Will defoz make it a regular place to go.
Great pub! Getting more and more craft ale in recently and all have been decent. Great range of drinks and large food menu. Staff are very friendly, was served by Vicky and she was fab. Will definitely be back soon
