Ambience 4/5 Food 2/5 I wanna start by highlighting the place looks really good. And that sets a high expectation on the food. The menu looks good. But unfortunately the food itself isn't very good .. The roast had a small steak, 3 pieces .. Lacked seasoning or marination I'd guess. I'd probably not have the roast again. But loved the high table ... Very comfy. Really do hope the food improves .. Good luck.
Great family meals at low cost but good quality. I'll share more pictures soon as we are bound to return shortly. You can scan and order, pay at the tables so lots of self paced control and no rush of waiting staff etc. Chicken wings *yup I'm a huge fan! Cob salad...less of a fan as I expected it to be charred corn.
The Harrow Pub - very poor service, waited over an hour for our food, no one kept us updated or informed. Food came out, partially cold and tasted like microwave food. Ordered turkey roast and haddock and chips. No remorse when telling staff about the food, they said ee should have informed them earlier- yet no one came to see how our food was and couldn't find a waiter to tell. Other people also complained about their food with some even sending there's back. Problem is you have to pay upfront for your food via the app so staff don't care if you like it or not.
We have just had a lovely lunch at The Harrow, food and service was excellent as was the coffee. The staff are friendly and looked after us really well, as it was lunch time it was a bit quieter than the evenings but suited us nicely.
Lovely family friendly place. Recently had lunch there and the food I would rate as good, so dont expect amazing food. Just standard pub grub. But friendly staff and great place to meet people as it has spacious outdoor seating area too.
Big question: Would I recommend it? Yes! 3.50 STARS! I took two stars off because: There is a 30 minute wait for your food. Not sure why, it could be short staff? The pub was not overcrowded. Also the dessert took a while to come after the food. Parking is brillaint! I tasted the pigs in blankets and they were a bit overcooked. Would definitely visit again. Maybe want to shorten their menu?
The Harrow is in our experience the very best family pub in Havering. It's spacious, clean, has a homely and welcoming atmosphere, and has a lovely multi-levelled garden: ideal for the warmer months. It's situated opposite the lovely Harrow Lodge Park and the food is delicious. Having said all that, the reason we keep coming here - booking here for special family occasions - is the service which is nothing short of outstanding. We have two very young girls, one of whom is disabled and staff are always so inclusive. Graham, the general manager, runs the pub beautifully. We are all big fans - especially our littlest age 3, who has built the confidence to order for us and practice her manners with him! If you want a comfortable, relaxed family pub with friendly vibes and great food and drink, look no further!
I am giving the Harrow, 5 stars from my personal experience. Me and my group of three try to come every week. We like it that much. The manager and bartenders are fantastic! They are so friendly, approachable and amazing to talk to. They always help with our dilemmas no matter what it is. Me and my friends stay for an average of 6 hours! The atmosphere is amazing! Angelika and Destiny are amazing bartenders! They have amazing customer service, Also they have amazing memories they always get the order spot on. My friend loves the calamari and burgers here. The place also feels so open and big indoors, other places feel cramped but this layout feels so much more better than worrying about squeezing past random people awkwardly. In conclusion I would recommend coming here and having a nice catch-up or even a nice chat after a long day of work. So relaxing and stress free you can't beat a night out with the lads.
Lovely pub, friendly atmosphere, looks very nice inside and clean. The staff is very polite, good customer service. The reason for giving 4 stars is the food. The food was good, but there is room for a bit of improvement. Otherwise excellent place for a night/ evening out.
Thank you to Graham and his team for helping us celebrate a surprise 50th birthday. We had a great time as did our friends and family. Food was excellent and staff were polite and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble so a big thumbs up from us.
