We phoned in advance and we were told we could eat in the bar with a dog. We couldn't book but once a table was available no problem.nWe got a table and were then told that the place was fully booked and we couldn't have anything. The chef appeared and said they were short staffed yet the restaurant was pretty empty. He said some staff had only been there a week and there were other places available. Eventually he said we could have fish and chips but it would be a while.nI was so fed up with the attitude I left. We were so disappointed as we had heard great things and drove from Bangor.nI see from your reviews this happened before. Just be honest about your policies.
Went here with my wife and daughter at the end of December and again middle of January. Outstanding. Beautiful setting and the food more than does the location justice. Had a monkfish dish that was so good I had it again when I went back as one of the best fish dishes I have ever had. My wife had the chowder and said its the best she has ever had. Friendly staff as well.
Went here as a group of eight and I have to say that I was positively surprised. The location right at the harbour, the ambiance and the food really blew my mind. The prices are good for the quality and amount of expertly prepared meals which include a starter and main course. Toilets are hygienic too. Really give this place a try - I highly recommend it!
Great spot. Was up for the weekend, watched rugby match, good atmosphere; had food, was lovely and you definitely won't leave hungry with generous portion sizes. Topped off with decent selection and quality drinks and a great setting.
Lovely place with harbour views good for a walk after the meal. Good sized portions, tasty specials, friendly service.
