£8, can't go wrong. Chips are lush and apparently they will box up anything you can't eat for later. Madri and Stella on tap and friendly staff. Good estate pub.
Party of 8 had Christmas fayre on Saturday 8th Dec. Everything excellent. Good food nice and hot, great service and friendly staff throughout. We were so impressed we returned the following weekend for a family birthday with a party of 10 plus a child. Meals and service were excellent again. Thanks to all Griifin Staff. Special thanks to Linda and Sheriden for fitting us in at such short notice.
Wine is warm. Beer is flat. Don't close the kitchen at 7 when you advertise food until 8pm.
Good Sunday roast, friendly place, good atmosphere
Sunday lunch was incredible! 3 meats to choose from, all the veg you like, the roasties, mash and gravy were lovely. Fed 3 of us for £20! Amazing value I will be back!
It's what a pub should be, like a home from home. Really friendly welcoming staff and customers. You may arrive as a stranger but you will leave as a friend. Five stars is not enough
Well the phrase "its an ill wind that blows no good" fits our visit as it was after a friends funeral were we all gathered..The draught beer was the best I have tasted in years..Staff gave top notch service..Buffet food was so good and well served lots of choice both hot and cold..Please pass my thanks to everyone at The Griffen, for a very enjoyable visit..We intend to return and sample from what looks a great value menu..
Great Sunday lunch! Went again last night, the four of us had the special fish and chips with peas either garden or mushy £9.00 for two!!!! The drinks are a good price too! Great value and excellent food, fastly becoming our place to go.

Linda the landlord refused to serve us on Friday evening JUST because we are foreigners in work wear. But she happily server british blokes in work throusers. Why is the landlord rasist here? We spend a huge amount of money here during the week and we get kicked of on Friday just because Lidna the Landlord got "her days"?
