Stopped in the middle of a 30 Sunday walk in May on a sunny day without booking. 100+ covers. They just about squeezed me in, and that sausage roll was badly undersold on the menu. It’s f++++++ amazing. Seriously good food. Beer on top form. Cricket outside. What’s not to like? Thanks to the staff, who were actually running to keep up with the pressure and never once dropped their smiles.
Beautiful village, beautiful pub, amazing food, top notch service. Emily was a brilliant attendant for our lunch, we were the first in the pub for lunch, it soon filled up but the high standard of service was maintained throughout our visit. Had a 2 course lunch, burger was perfect, crumble was yummy, drinks were lovely. Not much more I can say other than definitely going to come back.
Lovely traditional pub that has been stylishly renovated. Great food, great beer and lovely service. The cocktails looked very good too and there is a nice sized outside courtyard for drinking and eating in the summer. I will be coming back!
Nice impromptu experience at The Green Man on a Thursday night. We enjoyed the Pie+Pint deal switched mash for fries - they were delicious btw. Of course I needed to try the chocolate fondant knowing the owner won bake off. I thought the fondant would have been a bit bigger for £12 but maybe it's related to the amazing Pistachio gelatto possibly homemade?. Overall superb experience, I would recommend and I will come back again!
Stunning location and pleasant beer garden and interior. Came specifically for the Sunday lunch. The lamb was certainly tasty, could have done with a little more veg, but overall still enjoyed

Excellent restaurant. So nice in these days to go somewhere locally where the staff have been trained to high end restaurant standards. Understand totally the difficulty in getting good staff nowadays in hospitality, but the young staff here are a credit to themselves and the obvious training being provided by the owners . Sunday lunch. Special birthday. Excellent attention. Superb food. What more can one wish for. The sharer plates for starters were beyond exceptional - and I am very fussy about my baked cheeses and charcuterie and accompanying chutneys etc. Truly excellent experience in a wonderful environment. Fantastic food and great service well worth a visit … puddings were amazing
Just had a family Sunday Roast for our daughters birthday, very disappointed ! We were sat at the table for over 20 mins before our order was taken to start with then food very slow to come out of the kitchen .As we were finishing our deserts a young waitress told us we had to vacate the table as the next booking had arrived. The food was not that good 1/2 a carrot burnt at one end the other end only just cooked and that if you like your carrots firm not soft, We ordered 3 sides of cauliflower cheese there was no sauce just grilled cauliflower as the little sauce that had been over the cauliflower was burned to the bottom of the dish! Would not recommend this restaurant if you are gluten intolerant they can not even make a gluten free Yorkshire pudding only have one gluten free starter and one pudding which they did not have !
Very nice food, if somewhat limited menu. I'm much happier with the situation that way around, though. The service is very good, too. Well worth a visit.
