Great experience to be guided through these caves. Our guide was very knowledgeable and comical throughout making the whole experience very enjoyable. Lots of steps though so not ideal for anyone with mobility problems, but there's plenty of notices around to warn you of this. There's time to take photos too. Highly recommend this tour.
Amazing experience in Matlock, Derbyshire. A really up-close experience to how much the earth and humans have evolved. Going deep inside the crust where temperatures go down to lower than 6 degrees all year round, getting to touch limestone and prehistoric walls which are older than 300 million years ago. Absolutely worth a visit.
Enjoyed our visit to Heights of Abraham. It was quite busy due to the Easter holidays so we did have to wait for roughly 45mins-1hr to get in but it was worth it. The Masson cavern is amazing and the guide was funny and knew lots about the history of the cavern- her talk was really informative and the seismic light show was cool.
We spent a full day at the Heights of Abraham, taking in both caverns, making full use of the play areas, travelling there and back on the cable car and visiting the exhibitions, as well as enjoying pizza and ice cream. Informative, well presented, with a great food offerings and a fab shop - a perfect day out for all the family.nFor those with mobility challenges the caverns are not really accessible but the exhibition areas make up for this. The attraction is on the side of a hill though so there are limitations.
A really interesting tour and insight into the. Lead mining era. The guide was funny, interesting, and informative. I wasn't expecting the light show either. There are a good few steps to climb and plenty of ducking to avoid bumping your head, but this all added to the atmosphere. When you finally resurface, the views are stunning. This tour left a few huffing and puffing along the way, but nothing too strenuous. I would highly recommend giving it ago
