Nice little pub. Friendly service. Battered calamari was very crispy. Both the venison and beef burger were cooked perfectly served with onion rings, chips, coleslaw and salad. We were too full for dessert.
What a brilliant place. The food is amazing and the staff are the same. We went with our dog, they gave him a bowl of water and treats. Amazing to sit as a family with the dog and enjoy a stunning meal in a beautiful pub. Parking: About 30 spaces
Came here for a few drinks on Christmas Eve with family from Yorkshire. Classic countryside pub which is dog friendly and was nice and welcoming. Reasonably priced drinks and a good selection of lagers, ciders and ales. Enjoyed my visit and next time I'm up North would definitely recommend it again to my wife's family as its within walking distance from their home too.

Found this pub after walking the dogs, they are dog friendly. Service is excellent and so is the food. A little comment, when I have a gammon streak that big, can I please have two eggs next time lol. Will definitely look for this pub again.Food: 5/5

Brilliant place to eat, dog friendly inside, really nice food and really nice owners, could not be happier with it at all
We visited for Mothers Day and had the Sunday Roast. Unfortunately we didn’t really enjoy it. The meat was tasteless and didn’t look like it had been cut from a Turkey, or roast joint. It seemed mostly pre-prepared and reheated. Disappointed.
