Four of us stayed for 2 nights in mid-week for family visit and it was absolutely fantastic! The owners Mr and Mrs Chu were wonderful and gave us a great reception, very helpful and friendly people. Rooms were very nice and cosy and easily accessible from the car park. Love the continental breakfast with great healthy choices and good quality local Yorkshire bread. Plenty of space to park. We also tried the Mr Chu Chinese restaurant too and it was brilliant. Lovely food. So overall we all enjoyed the stay very much and will definitely go back if visiting the area again. Highly recommended. Definitely a hidden gem!
This is a very, very nice restaurant for Chinese food recommendation for anyone to try.. Gorgeous food..plus you can stay at this restaurant. They have rooms for rent. This restaurant is situated just outside pocklington. Very very nice Rooms: 5/5

We had a Chinese evening meal here which was excellent. I am Gluten Free and if was the first time in over 12 yrs that I have been able to eat in a Chinese restaurant. I had Ginger & pineapple chicken with fresh vegetables in a sauce served with egg fried rice. The prawn crackers were delicious. The rest of my family shared banquet meals and the service was excellent.

Made very welcome on arrival. Very comfortable room and bed. Very helpful with allowing to eat meal in room. Offered opportunity for early breakfast as I had to leave before official time. Breakfast was everything I needed. All in all, very friendly and helpful throughout. Thanks!
We went to Mr Chu Chinese restaurant which is inside the Plough Inn. Food and service good. The decor inside is very eclectic and a bit confusing. You walk into a lounge area that's like an olde world pub with wooden paneling and a few Chinese vases. In the dining area there's light wooden paneling like a sauna with lanterns. Not at all like traditional Chinese restaurants.
