Stayed here in one of the chalets for a birthday party in the bar. Lovely friendly staff, reasonable prices. I can't comment on the restaurant as didn't use it. Live music in the bar was good. Chalet had strange set up, downstairs had double bedroom, lounge, bathroom and tea making facilities, up stairs had large dorm room with 5 single beds. The chalet was slightly dated looking but was all very clean through out.

£4.95 for a lasagne, chips and salad!! Spot on, great service, great real ale and a very friendly atmosphere. Can't knock it, love the place. Keep up the good work

We ate in the restaurant, and it was a family Christmas "treat". We were very disappointed with every aspect of our visit. The restaurant is in a tiny room, with four tables, and was really hot. It felt like a dungeon. The waitress was unhelpful, with very little knowledge of the food on offer, she was also a little unprofessional, and giddy. She didn't clear the table of our empty glasses, our "pulled" Christmas crackers, or used napkins, so when our second course came, there wasn't enough room for our plates to be placed. The food was awful. The garlic mushroom's were too strong, and arrived almost cold, the main courses were less than impressive, to say the least. The only good thing I can say about our visit is, it was a "two-for-one" deal, but still too expensive for what we had. We won't be visiting again!

Popped on for a bar meal. Economically priced menu and substantial meal for under £10. 
Attentive staff and a festive feel. Sky TV football on when I was there. Wifi available though the code was difficult to read high up behind the bar. Signal a bit patchy - may impact business people. I would recommend this for value pub style food.

Affordable, quaint area, peaceful, caravan park next door. Great scenery, if you are willing to walk.
