We spent my 60th birthday celebrating at The Gloucester. It was fabulous. There were nine in our party, aged 4-64. We all enjoyed our meals, had a lovely table in the restaurant. The service was brilliant. Couldn't fault it. Thanks very much for making my birthday a very special occasion. April 2018.

Decent place to drink. Not many varieties of beers or crafts on tap but selection of all the standard main beers. Food wise, visited on Steak night, which is on a Tuesday. Very impressed. Nice quality steak (8oz Rib-eye) that comes out to you on a hot rock, so you cook it to your liking at the table, nice idea. Chips are light, crisp fluffy and tasty. The blue cheese sauce was very very good, plenty of chunks of cheese in there! Would recommend, price is fantastic if you come on a specials night. (Buy one steak get one for £1) Not to bad normal prices either. Would definitely come back if working in the area again.

Very pleasant. Helpful flexible staff. Beer well kept and baguettes excellent. Didn't check out anything else - but local reputation good.

It has been some time since we were last at The Gloucester but we have been several times befor, always enjoyed a good welcome, great steaks on thursday's steak night (you must try the hot lava rock where you can cook your own steak to perfection!) We have also been with family and friend groups for celebrations and for the New Year's Eve Fancy Dress on several occasions. The Gloucester always looks after their customers and, for us, deserve 5 stars all te way!
