"A pretty little clapperboard pub on the outskirts of the historic yet happening town of Rye where the Miltary Canal meets the River Rother, The Globe Inn Marsh has been the talk of Rye since it opened in 2013, with its “sheep-shack chic” interiors and warm Ramblinns hospitality. We don’t have rooms but we’ve lots of friends who do. Just ask and we’ll make arrangements for you."

May 2022 highly recommended - a must if in the area. First visit and we stopped for lunch. Interior amazing decor and excellent service. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We shared the fish platter for 2 - plentiful, fresh, tasty and beautifully served. Hubbie enjoyed the Romney Ale and for desserts we had strawberries & cream and a seasonal crumble with custard.
Lovely pub recommended by friends. The interior design is awesome and unique. Find yourself looking around. Nice open fire too making it cost. There is a good menu catering for different dietary requirements. Food was good, service was excellent. We did not book and arrived 10 mins before lunch time food service at 12. We were squeezed in. Staff were really friendly and helpful and dogs were allowed inside. Parked on the street outside the pub for free. There was a good selection of local beers and ale's.
Had the most amazing meal in 2020 and came back hoping to get the fish platter and strawberry smash. Sadly both werent on the menu anymore. Please bring it back!! Came here again on a Sunday and the fish of the day was divine. Roast beef was quite dry and chewy - the trimmings really carried the meal plus the gravy and sauce that came with it. The chorizo prawns were very flavourful not spicy and I would definitely get it again. Friend's pork belly looked really good too and she said it was juicy and crispy. Desserts were good too. Service felt surprisingly pressuring for us to get more drinks though the group was mostly non-alcoholic and it wasn't particularly busy. We were sat outside and had really benefited from a sunny breezy day.
We’ve come back here two days running which says something! There’s a good choice of locally sourced food, including vegetarian and vegan options, and plenty of beers and ciders too. In addition the staff are brilliant and made us and our dog feel very welcome.
Lovely place for lunch in Rye. The interior was really nice with a cozy fireplace as well. We ordered the fried squid, whole Camembert and daily south coast catch. All very tasty and decent sized portions.
I read a Google review saying this is the "best pub in the world" - it's not bad. Strange layout, confusing menu. Loads of staff but you have to wait a while for them to ask you for your order. The food we had was ok, had to ask for all of it to be brought to us. We may visit again
Last here 8 years ago and based on our return visit standards have slipped plenty. Food was pedestrian "fish stew" was a bed of warmed up tomatoes and service was indifferent I had to get up from the table to order a second glass of wine. Maybe it's changed hands, who knows. Quirky interior is its best feature but otherwise not worth it.
On a random ride past we stopped here to grab a late lunch/snack, and you definitely get what you pay for! The Globe Marsh delivers, absolutely incredible food, the flavours where stunning, really great portions, friendly staff, chilled atmosphere. Plenty of parking. What more do you need.
Very cute pub, good food, a bit pricey, easy parking, outdoor and indoor seating, very clean. We shared 3 plates between two which tasted good and a pimms for £38.
Found this pub whilst looking for dog friendly venues. We received a warm greeting and were shown to a cozy corner and promptly visited with a member of smiling staff who asked us what we would like to drink. The selection of beers was top notch and I couldn't resist having a 2nd pint. I had the halloumi burger and my wife had the pasta dish which we both enjoyed very much. The interior is wonderfully decorated with objects of interest everywhere you look and the atmosphere relaxed and fun. The staff were attentive and friendly and our dog loved the place. Highly recommended.
