Went into Glasgow Vintage over the weekend a shop I LOVE and frequent whenever I get the chance to spend some time over in the west end and I got a beautiful second hand real fur coat! I have been looking for second hand fur for such a long time and it's so hard to come across, but finally after months of searching I finally found an amazing collection at such good prices! The condition of the coat is impeccable for being 60 years old, and the staff are so lovely there too, the shop has such an incredible atmosphere, the tunes are always top notch and their collection of stock is truly beautiful x
Awful! Bought a belt for 10 pounds that broke within 4 days. Took It back to ask about exchange/ refund. The person let me know there was a no return exchange policy. I understand this as it’s a vintage clothing shop. But I do believe the sturdiness of belts should be tested as leather degrades massively overtime. When I let the person at the desk know what happened they had zero empathy for the situation, and just said no returns or exchanges. Not impressed would not shop here again.
Unfortunate incident with a staff member today that left me feeling uncomfortable. Tried on an item of clothing with a sale tag on and it fell off in the changing room. I decided to purchase and informed the staff member at the til that the tag had come off to which she refused to sell at sale price because she "curates all the clothing and would never put a shirt like that in the sale" which surprised me because I literally picked the item off the sale rack check the CCTV! I was left feeling embarrassed even after I tried to explain but she was having none of it. She said she wasn't accusing me but did exactly that. I still decided to purchase at double the sale price as I liked the shirt. Such a shame as I've come to love this store and have been pretty regular since moving to Glasgow. It's not about the money but more so how I was made to feel like I was cheating the system. Apart from this incident I always find amazing pieces and have lovely interactions with the staff!
A bit to expensive but the shop is stunning
TL;DR bad quality, overpriced, cheeky response. Would like to say the staff member on when I was in was lovely. However... I spent good money too much on trousers that had an irreparable defect that I did not notice until I put them on at home. I understand this is a risk with 2nd hand clothing, and places don't accept returns etc, but I do draw the line at paying ~£30 for something I literally can't wear. I messaged their instagram page about it and expressed my disappointment that they weren't willing to reconcile this in any way I said I felt this was poor customer service and the message I received back was so cheeky I am honestly in disbelief. So here I am doing the only thing I can do since I've literally wasted my money.
Well curated collection, great if you’re looking for sweaters, jackets, or jeans. They have a nice selection of fur, separated by real and faux. Lots of fisherman’s sweaters and real wool sweaters. Changing rooms downstairs. Very organized. Been in twice and the service is always a bit tepid with half-hearted greetings and no real notice of customers unless they seem hip or are buying something. They do offer student discounts. The prices are good; this isn’t bargain barrel type stuff, it’s good quality and the prices reflect that. I got a real sheepskin jacket for £20 and my husband got a Shetland wool sweater for £10.
Found an authentic leather jacket. I love it! Such great quality and at a reasonable price. Also got lucky as it was hiding in the men’s section but would’ve been way too small for a male.
Fantastic collection of vintage clothes. Probably the best I’ve been to in the U.K. so far. The gal at the front desk was absolutely charming as well and gave me some tips for my travels here and further north. I was very impressed with the whole experience :
Amazing shop, I really liked the layout. the changing room area was nice and they had alot of interesting gents clothes as well. I clocked some nice leather jackets for £40. I got myself a lovely velvet skirt for £10 and it fit perfectly. The girls working there were lovely and knowledeful!
Been waiting months for it to finally open and it was definitely worth it. Moved from Spain back in September and I wanted to check vintage shops and this is probably my favourite so far. The men's section is downstairs and prices are fair and affordable. La ropa es genial, gran variedad y precios muy competitivos. Si te gusta la ropa de segunda mano con algo de historia, este es tu lugar.
