First time nipping here for lunch on a quiet Sunday. Steph was a wonderful host, nothing was too much trouble. Food was superb specifically their homemade chips!, atmosphere was great, so we'll definitely be visiting again.
We have been going here for years for Christmas dinner, we won't return. The service and the food was dreadful. A small piece of stale white bread arrived with the camembert, some weird oily sauce with the fish, and mushy sprouts arrived 2 hours later as the main course which was not hot. They said 2 staff had let them down, that's no excuse for poor food and hours and hours waiting. Christmas dinner ruined for us.
The food here is fantastic - home made chips especially! Prices are great too and the staff are friendly and helpful! Wouldnt hesitate to recommend

First time here, stopped off with a couple of friends for some food. The 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed each meal, clearly made fresh and not re-heated rubbish. good portion size and good price too. All the staff were lovely. Will definately go again.

Food tasted fine but chips were cool at the table and the rest didn't stay warm for long. We have only been once so this may be unusual.
Lovely staff Pub was clean and tidy Food was piping hot Meat on the Sunday lunch was a bit tough & dry - one star Pudding was hot and tasty
Gorgeous food, great staff and lovely atmosphere. Love the fact it isn't a football pub. Get down there for food. Best chips in town!
