Best pub in Rothesay! The Galatea is a lovely bar, serving a great selection of beer, cider, spirits and wine. The place itself is exceptionally clean, comfy and cosy. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the atmosphere here is always warm and relaxed. Hands down the best pub in Rothesay, if not on the whole island. Go in for a drink and you will see what I mean, as soon as you set foot inside. Beer garden is a welcome summer bonus and the bathrooms are bright, clean and tidy. Mo food served here unfortunately bit I believe that they have no worries about you bringing in a take out, while you drink. Best to check with the friendly staff first though. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

Nice dog friendly wee pub. Beer garden was closed for winter but dogs allowed in bar. Friendly staff. They don't have a children's licence.
Very friendly pub, the landlady directed us to a local takeaway and allowed us to come in with food as we were struggling to find somewhere dog friendly to eat lunch. Would definitely recommend for a warm welcome if visiting Rothesay.

Went to visit an old friend in Scotland and visited the Galatea Bar. Wasn’t serving food but suggested getting a takeaway from Harry Haws takeaway and we could eat at the pub. Worked very well. Very friendly and accommodating and took the food rubbish too. Thanks
