Golfers Bar

Story

Built in 1901, this pub retains most of its refitting from c.1930, in Glasgow Art Nouveau style. The public bar has an impressive mirrored gantry with stained glass cupboard fronts and ten drawers, a long bar counter, and extensive panelling. The Golfers bar is a family friendly pub with a childs license up till 8pm. The Golfers often hosts live music on Friday and Saturday nights.

What a great pub with really friendly locals. We went in for one and ended up there three consecutive days. There's a good selection of beers and lagers but also some great spirits. Tommy the singing landlord is all the entertainment you need. Looking forward to going back.
Brilliant atmosphere in this character filled pub. Tommy and Wendy are a great couple. Will be going back when restrictions are lifted
Friendly staff made me and my dog welcome. My first ever visit to Rothesay and the staff in The Golfers pretty much confirmed my first impressions of the islanders. They really do seem to be lovely people.
Was in for a couple of drinks with my wife and friends. We'll run during these difficult times and very friendly. Will definitely be back
A real locals bar. Lovely inside, must have been stunning when new. A little tired but strangely appealing. Lots of whisky choice, central, chilled.

Visited during covd during the day.no music but kept to guidelines.was in here last year was good although more of a mans pub with football on.
