Very friendly pub! Staff have excellent customer service. We have recently moved to Dundee, and can see us being regulars. Even the locals are friendly and respectful. It's lovely when people are are considered, and quite, when having a drink.
Excellent, top-notch pub, games free to watch, nice selection of beers, friendly staff. Edit: After seeing so many bars, I can say Frews is the best bar in Dundee. If Frews were a person, I would hug and thank them for existing.
Nice pub and staff but a bit pricey compared with other pubs in the area
A basic bar but the staff were lovely. Sport on the telly so it lacked that Friday vibe. A decent pint of Guinness too. Unfortunately an absolute roaster interrupted our chat and kicked off a bit but the staff dealt with it well.

Meat up with the lads from work and it was good to see them again as I'm retired. We had a good afternoon aided by the excellent service from the owner and his staff. A good selection of beers and spirits are available which means that there is a drink to suit everyone's tastes.
A beautiful old traditional pub with two side rooms, one of which opens when the football is on. Staff are very well organised and efficient. Toilets are spotless and cleaned regularly. This is a friendly bar and definitely worth visiting.
Barman swore at and threatened me. BULLY for him. I'm DISABLED. Made false accusations to POLICE. BULLY for him. POLICE attended . First officer G repeated false accusations. Was HIMSELF aggressive. Told him accusations were false. His colleague slightly delayed acted professionally throughout. Told no audit end of matter. ABSOLUTELY not. Happily take civil action against staff at frews and athletic. My legal right at my cost. My reputation matters to me TRUST is everything. Will be calling witnesses hostile. POLICE included. Lets sort this out in COURT. BARMAN hit the heights when he said " make sure to cross the road when a bus is coming " GENIUS from a person of limited INTELLECT and INTELLIGENCE. Unfit to be serving public.
