Decide to go for a meal out one evening, this place is Only 3 miles from our home, surprised we don't come here more often as the service is great. Food is about is around 80% of goodness, had a steak before had to send it back twice as they couldn't cook it well done. (I know steak shouldn't be well done, but I'm fussy) had the fox burger Which was Pretty damn good, also has gammon egg which is Very good but the chips can be hit or miss (chip's can be under cooked now and then) price is reasonable, for what you get. Sunday lunch is also a hit and miss. Would definitely recommend this place.

Just come back from a lovely Valentine's lunch at The Fox & Hounds. Prawn cocktail and Cajun chicken skewers to start.prawn cocktail....excellent. lots of prawns ,lovely fresh baby leaves and a whole sluce of brown bread and butter.more like a light meal than a starter. Cajun chicken skewers...Wow so much meat for a starter ! We both had the homemade beef lasagne.lovely flavour and definately home made ! I had jacket potatoe with mine,this was the only thing that let it down .Husband had home cooked chips which were delicious (yes I nicked a couple). All in all great food .very friendly service.large portion sizes.best of all.....if your a dog lover....they are DOG FRIENDLY !🐾🐶 2x starters 2x mains round of drinks £39. You have to order and eat in the bar area but it beats sitting outside with your pooches! Well done Fox&Hounds ...You are my Valentine!⚘

Very nice main meal. Pudding first time was under cooked but there was a big order and as soon as I mentioned it, they apologized and corrected their mistake straight away

I come here once a month. The Taverns chicken is so nice and served with proper chips not frozen like most places these days. Nice pint of larger and friendly staff what more do want from a local pub

Really nice family friendly pub with spacious room and en suite. Had a nice stay here and will definitely be going back. Good pub grub to and a couple of nice ales on tap in a quiet location.
