Arrived at 7.30 on a Friday night with a group of friends. At 9.27 the woman behind the bar rang the bell for last orders. Pub was busy and we wanted to stay longer. This is not the first time and many of us local to the pub will not return. We constantly hear about country pubs not doing well but then they close early when busy. It's a shame, pub serves great food in the day, lovely place with a lot of money spent on it. Travel a few miles down the road and pubs are open to 11pm which normal for a Friday night. That's where we are all going from now on.
Stayed here for 5 nights, spotlessly clean, very friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble, Sunday lunch excellent. Highly recommend.
We decided to stop whilst en route to Pershore and were really glad that we did. Great food and the quality of the ingredients was excellentn. We had the all day breakfast which was great quality and the steak and eggs which was similar to shakshuka. We will definitely be returning as both food and service were superb
Turned up around 9pm midweek and the landlady was locking up!nWe were told it was quiet and they wanted to go home....nThis was on a beautiful Summer's evening....nThis had also happened before on another previous visit.nTikka Tikka is open until 10pm and people were still arriving to eat...presumably without having a drink, the chaps there said she often closes early, which was an obvious bug bear of theirs, putting off late customers.nWe have been there when they're open, and the drinks and the staff have been lovely, so don't be put off - but don't be late!
I had seen the reviews online and decided to pop in one afternoon with my wife, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere and decor were in keeping with the pub! Great selection of drinks and the lager I had was very nice! I had the fish and chips which was the best fish and chips I have had in a pub ever! The mushy peas were so tasty had an onion and garlic flavour too them which was different. Will definitely be returning and have highly recommended to family and friends!
