Whilst the food was ok to goodish, I've a few things to say. For instance, it says that the chips are hand cut, I'm afraid they were obviously frozen 'steak cut' chips, they were too 'well formed' to be hand cut chips. Whilst the 'gourmet burger' was relatively tasty it was nothing exceptional that entitled it to 'gourmet' rating. My wife had a steak, which to be fair she said it was cooked to perfection and the coleslaw was good. I also would also like to mention about the price of the desserts, I had a basic Apple pie and one scoop of ice cream and my wife has a slice of chocolate fudge cake and one scoop and the cost for these two desserts alone was £12!! So I'm afraid, as I said it was ok food, there is no way that it was worth the price that we paid for it. We spent £51 for our two , two course meals and two and a half points of lager and a glass of lemonade. One other thing in the plus side, the service was very good. So unfortunately, I'm afraid it is a thumbs down from us
12 of us went food ok nothing special, staff were misrable. Disco was great wasent really worth £26.95 each. £15 for a bottle of wine which is £3.50 in the shops bit to expensive really, the place is all about how much money they can earn not about trying to give there customers a good service so they come back.

Went there today seven of us....Sunday 29/5/15...was seen to our table as we had pre booked all sat down then waited 5 minutes befor someone came to take our drink order.....waitress was miserable didn't smile when asked for more bread she kind of pulled a can't be bothered face.......cook don't know the difference between medium cooked steak and well done as four of us ordered medium cooked steak but steak was well over done......chips were also well over done...two ordered roast beef.....what should have been roast potatoes were deep fried ..... and both said it didn't taste like beef..wouldn't have been so bad if place was packed out but it wasent....won't be going there again...not even a thank you as we were leaving
We went to the Flamingo Restaurant & Bar last Saturday evening and had a fantastic evening , the band was very good , the staff there where excellent, the meal we had was First class for once we had a hot meal in a restaurant,,, i had steak cooked to perfection, my girlfriend had fish , very well done guys, we where so impressed we went back on Sunday for lunch, 2 Roast beef dinners beautiful the best Yorkshire Puddings i have had in such a long time very tasty, we are back in Clacton next month so see you again soon , WELL DONE .

Private party for a friend's birthday. Buffet food provide with live entertainment. A fun evening for everyone.
First visit and came across Flamingo by accident Very impressed nice comfortable setting good service and good varied menu at very reasonable prices will definitely visit again
