Story

We are a traditional old pub in the little fishing village of Porthallow. Although we are off to beaten track slightly we are right on the beach and the half way mark on the coastal path from Poole to Minehead. We serve food daily and have a great menu consisting of everything from Home made Pie and Chips to Pan fried Line Caught Cornish Sea Bass, and to accompany the great we always have a fantastic selection of real ales and cornish ciders. Everything on our menu is home made and cooked to order, we source all of our produce locally where possible and we are strong supporters of using only locally caught sustainable fish!
*NEW FOR 2011* We are just about to open our lovely newly refurbished B&B, we have 3 rooms available as doubles or twins, all of which are full en-suite. Please see our website for more information

I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to dine on such a finely cooked sirloin steak. This coupled with the excellent standard of service, made for a truly memorable experience.

We stayed there for a night spontaneously and were amazed. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was really delicious and there was a variety of different (also uncommon) beers.

Brilliant pub. Here for a weeks holiday and made to feel very welcome every night. Excellent selection of hand pulled ales.
