Great fish and chips. Freshly made. Fish has a crisp thin batter. Clearly everything is well thought out. A nice touch is the vinegar is sprayed onto your hot fish which gives an aroma of vinegar without it going soggy. Optional and delicious Home made tartar sauce and a slice of lemon too on your fish. (I don't know why all chippys don't offer lemon) Very busy, and everything is made to order so be prepared to wait. It is worth it. The fish is fresh from the local pier and the chips are hand cut from potatoes whose origin are also proudly declared. Nice interior, with 2 wee tables. Plenty of tables outside on the prom which have stunning sunset views if the weather is on your side. A welcome addition to the Largs seafront. Give it a go.

Looks good but bland in taste. Not enough salt and vinegar (spray) even when you ask for a lot. Batter mix bulks out the size of the fillet, but have to remove parts to get at the fish and right balance of fish and batter. They offer you a slice of lemon if you want but best to get the basics right first.

Brilliant - cooked fresh to order plus lemon wedges, misted vinegar and they even tell you where the fish (and the potatoes!) came from
