Great fish and chips shop down at Largs see front. Due to the area it's situated it's quite expensive with a haggis supper, chips and cheese, chips and a roll and chips coming in at £30. This also included a tub of curry, but I must admit neither my daughter or I thought it was good a first for us.nPositives were the staff, location, haggis exceptional. Would definitely go back.
Visited Largs and had fish and chips here two years ago, my kids love it and always ask us to visit here again. After two years still the best fish and chips for us! Freshly made and we enjoyed our food with the wonderful view! Need to wait for a bit though as there is always a queue. We wanted to go earlier 11:30-ish to beat the queue but it opens at 12 noon.
Post-walk scran on the seafront… found this chippy and ate in the car to dodge the seagulls and the parking wankersrdens who were both out in full force.nWe got a single haddock, £8.70 and the cod tacos, £9.70 special.nnThe haddock was the standout - crisp batter, flaky fish and not too oily. Chips were a bit of a letdown, pretty standard.nnTacos were decent, but I was expecting more of a zingy, Mexican-style - maybe with chilli, coriander and fresh lime. These came more like battered fish wraps with spicy mayo and spronion. Still tasty though.nnBonus points for the spray bottle vinegar solid idea and free sauce is a rare luxury these days.nnFollow me on insta for more reviews: @Lewishere_lewisthere
Obviously nice to eat your chips looking out at the water. Fish and sausage was nice but not large. Chips were rubbish and the curry sauce was horrific. Very sweet and watery. Expensive for what it was. Wouldn't go back. Il stick to Viking chippy behind them in future and park myself on a bench. Not good fish and chips!
Food is phenomenal, pricing is great. Probably the best fish and chips in Scotland.nnHighly recommend
