We moved into a new house and wanted to open out a blocked over chimney to put in a log burner. Phil came to quote and from the beginning we were confident that he knew his stuff - there’s a lot of choice out there for all different log burners and we were a bit lost, didn’t know what to look for. Phil really helped give us advice and ideas but he was totally flexible, happy to help us achieve the look we wanted even though it made his job a little harder! We were also let down by the company we had already ordered a stove from but Phil and The Fireplace Shop sorted one out for us at relatively short notice so that we could keep to our renovation time scale. Phil was communicative and reliable, always punctual and I never had to chase anything up. He’s also a lovely guy, seemed pleased for us with the end result - we still haven’t decorated the room yet but I’ll try and update this review with a photo when it’s done! We would have no hesitation in recommending Phil and the Fireplace Shop to anyone and have already passed details onto my partner’s cousin who is thinking of making a fireplace. Wish there were more tradespeople out there like these guys!

Long established and trusted local business. Sean is friendly, knowledgeable, and is keen to help out. Very flexible too, wouldn't have any reservations about recommending this business. The swift and tidy fitters did a very neat job, good attention to detail. Love my new log burning stove, it's more fuel-efficient than my central heating boiler!

Excellent service! The fire we purchased looks fantastic. The guys who in stalled the fire - I can't t praise them enough. The were on time, they offered updates to what they were doing, they were efficient and respected the rest of the property where they needed access (wearing covered on shoes). After the job was completed they cleaned up after themselves and explained how to operate the fire.  I couldn't fault this company from choosing the fireplace  in the shop to having it installed.  I would highly recommend this company if you want a top job doing with no hassel

Excellent service. My mum bought a fireplace from The Fireplace Shop and got it fitted so thought when the time comes to use these guys for fitting our fireplace. Tony came on time was polite and did a great job on the fireplace. Tidied up after and helped move the old fireplace out to the  back with my partner. Couldn't ask for more job was done quickly. Definitely recommend ! Thank you.

We have recently bought a fire and surround and had both fitted. We went into the shop numerous times to ask for advice before we purchased and Sean was very knowledgeable without pushing us to buy. He discussed lots of options with us and gave us information that lots of other specialists had been unable to provide. The fitting of the fire was completed quickly and was of a very high quality. We would recommend Sean and the shop to anyone looking to buy a fire.
