An excellent country pub which was a former railway station and still retains the theme. Drinks were superb and the staff were very friendly. We had the Ploughman's Box and it was an absolute delight! There was enough to satisfy all 3 of us.

Superb cask ale selection from all corners of the UK.  Visited several times during my week in Southwell and tried 7 of the 10 on offer.  All in tip top condition, served well and very good value for money.  Great atmosphere at the various times I visited, Friday evening especially.  Excellent service, great location by far the best cask ale experience in Southwell by some distance.

Just one of my favourite pubs! Excellent beer choice, friendly staff and a really nice atmosphere. Also offers lots of 'extras' in the way of beer festivals, visiting food offers, live music and comedy + a lovely outside drinking area.

What a beer selection! Allow dogs too and friendly atmosphere. Not the cheapest but I would always rather have a top pint that Costs a bit more in a place that has character than a bang average, generic drink in a soulless pub. All the best.

We only stopped for a drink but the food looked amazing. They had pub bar Snacks. If your really into trains and history, it's a place worth visiting. I went with the hubby and brother in law who likes trains and the history that comes with them. The inside of the pub was like you stepped back in time to when you used to get your tickets and sit in the waiting room for the train to arrive. The ticket office hole is still there. They had a actual railway track, a piece of it in the pub grounds along with bits of information about the area. It had also the old vintage signage which advertised chocolate, tea etc. Toilets are clean. The pub allows dogs in, so if your OK with that, then it's fine. We met a lively lovely little dog who was friendly, and very inquisitive. Will go again and try the actual food

This is a twee little pub found on the outskirts of Southwell. If, like me, you like pubs with a bit of old fashioned character then this is the place for you. It has an old railway theme which is rather fun. Award winning for its range of cask real ales and ciders, it's a beer drinkers paradise. It does food but it's on the basic side but fresh and fully acceptable. Give it a try!

Great little pub . Good beers and lovely Staff.

Probably the best drinkers pub that I have ever been to.Fantastic selection of well-kept beers, with knowledgeable staff to guide you. All set in a tasteful railway themed location railway terminus.
