They managed to accommodate a group of 14 at short notice and the food is very good for the reasonable price they charge and the portions are pretty good. There's a bar, plenty of parking and an outside area.

Friendly and picturesque pub near sea front selling good beer and food. Large area outside for summer use, fires inside in winter.

I am appalled. Walking in off the blustery cold beach, looking forward to a pint and a bite to eat... being told to shut the door in the most aggressive way by the jumped up little girl hosting in jack Russell attack mode. No welcome or smile, just “ if you want food you have to order it in the next two minutes and we can’t sit on the tubby chairs (all empty) where there is a log burner set at least 3m from the actual bar facing the other direction because I have my 9year old with us. No alternative seating (actually available to the other side of the room too), but are offered a seat outside (freezing wind and 0 degrees). Rude, arrogant staff who say “that’s just the way we do it” - now, usually, I am so forgiving as I have worked in hospitality most of my life, however this is not acceptable.

Nice pub with good staff. We had the line caught cod, it was probably the best restaurant cod I've had. 100% we will return.
