My family and I come here at least once a year - the food is incredible, fresh, and succulent. The flavours they offer for sauces are unmatched and the experience overall is fantastic. Staff are attentive and friendly, and price is very fair for the quality and breadth of seafood on offer. Cannot recommend this place enough - prepare to get messy!
Been meaning to Visit for a while, my partner craved lobster so seemed ideal. We ordered the meal deal 2 Lobsters, 2 sides - Cajun Chips & Corn, 2 soft drinks plus 1/2 lbs of Tail on Prawns in variety of sauces I preferred cajun of all totalling £74. Both shellfish were quality, soft and juicy but we did just both generally favour the prawns rather than lobster due to personal preference, will order more prawns and perhaps crab next time and add potatoes. Staff were attentive and we booked prior to arrival to avoid disappointment as there were only a handful of tables. I loved that you could items to bag corn, white/sweet potato Two minor pet peeves - mayonnaise/ketchup were in sachets only and the corn had no taste, I do not think it was fresh which was a shame otherwise a great place and will be back.
Thank you to all of the very friendly and welcoming staff at The Fat Crab in Harrow for making our dining experience very enjoyable. Seafood and other treats steamed in a bag with a choice of delicious flavourings and level of spicyness is genius. Eating the yummy treats straight out of the bag with fingers while wearing a giant bib makes the experience all the more fun.
We had to park the car along a near by road since the place doesnt have a dedicated parking space. The food is amazing. We tried different types of crab and all tasted very good. You have be ready to get messy if you want to try good crab meat. It is recommended to call and make a reservation since there was limited seating. Would definitely go again.
Dinner in a plastic bag, , one of those unique culinary experiences you must try. No cutlery needed just hands and about an hour to get through all the crab and lobster. Enjoy Vegetarian options: Fries, sweet corn and more fries.
It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing food and service I enjoyed every single bite of the meal Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.
The resturant is very small, only 6 tables. Booking is a must! Only 1 waitress that serves and takes lots of takeaway calls. She was still friendly and .a aged to give so advice to us as it was the first time. The crabs came in these bags with a very unique sauce and they very good portions! Ordered cajun Fries as everyone recommended them. They very nice but I would strongly recommend normal fries so you can deep in the crab sauce and enjoy this unique flavour. Very messy to eat but they are equipped for customers. Blue swimming crabs is strongly reccomend. I beleave it was Hole shebang flavour and hot hot means hot!. We also had the cajun prawns, can reccomend as ery tasty.
So much flavour. Def worth the money. I had lobster and prawns. The Cajun fries were can’t wait to go back
Visited on a dreary winter's afternoon in late December. Due to Omarion dancing around Omicron variant C19 they were very short staffed and were serving a limited menu. Despite these challenges we had a very enjoyable dining experience. It's essentially like building your own seafood boil, you choose your main seafood, sauce, extra seafood if desired and add-ins such as potatoes/corn etc. You can also have side dishes such as cajun fries, sweet potato fries etc. The seafood was fresh and tasty, cooked to perfection, the sauces were tasty and hot means hot, don't choose the hot sauce if you can't handle the spice! The cajun fries were a triumph- hot, crispy, flavourful and not too salty. Prices were pretty much what you'd expect for seafood prawns and mussels are on the cheaper side and lobster/king crab are more expensive. They have several branches and this is the smallest it's very cosy and I'd recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. I'd like to visit one of their other locations as this branch was really far away from home. Overall I do recommend The Fat Crab, service was a little poor but given the circumstances it's understandable.
What a messy experience but I'm glad I got to try it out! Might be a bit of a boring response but I really enjoyed the bag of Prawns with the potatoes and sweet potatoes that absorbed the sauce so well. The shebang extra hot sauce had such a good kick - great for any of you spice lovers. Service was extremely helpful and friendly.
