Working in the clayton area and came across this little beauty of a chip shop. Woman serving very friendly and brilliant meal deals available. Reasonable priced and food portions are spot on and very tasty. Tried the peas pie an chips with gravy and also tried the chip balm both are very delicious.

Had 3 lots of fish and chips tonight  There was enough for 5 people it was still hot after a 10 minute journey well wrapped up. Will definitely use again  Parking: Normal street parking

I will give it five stars out of five because it’s becoming more difficult to find proper chippy style fish and chips however I visited very first time I work at the Manchester airport and live in Droylsden and can’t find a traditional chippy on the way home or near home so drove straight to Clayton because The English Chippy is the only one open at that time, opening times are very convenient for me. Fish was top class but chips bit smaller and lacked in chippy quality which I think due to the produce available in the market, if you can get better potatoes I will pay an extra £ a portion I am going to visit there regularly now  Parking: Can park in streets around anytime only have to be careful on match day in Etihad Stadium
