We stopped by for lunch this past Sunday and I have to stay it was an absolute pleasure to have met Rosemary, she was genuine and offered the best service we’ve experienced in the county. The food was delicious so we’ll head back soon

Meal took 45 minutes, steak over cooked and dry, cold inside. A decent stop if you are head pressed, but could have been warmer, cleaner and better cooked Sunday roast overcooked along with veg

Seems to be shut, not operating but view through windows indicates stock etc. Thurs 13th Aril lunchtime. Big sign outside say Publican Needed. Maybe closure is temporary, pending new staff?

Lovely country pubs, like this one, are suffering.  The road outside was very quiet on a Thursday and so was the pub.  Rosemarie, the landlady looked after us wonderfully.  TEA and Dark Star beers on tap we're great and 4 of us all enjoyed the steak pie meals and deserts.  A place like this needs people and with only 4 of us visiting, it cannot survive.  Please go and admire the drawings and pictures too.

Whilst camping near by, me and my friends decided to try this place out for some food and Friday night drinks. We were warmly greeted and the food was gorgeous! The Landlady, Rosemary was an absolute star and her sidekick didn't get his name was hilarious! We were made to feel welcome from the start of our visit to the very end. Thank you so much for your hospitality and pop into our place to say hi if you are ever visiting Brighton

Came here after a trip, I had a Guinness and lamb roast which was really nice. It’s a  lovely place!

We had a really good Sunday lunch at the Elsted Inn. The portions were massive and you get an extra jug of gravy without asking. Definitely recommend!

Amazing pub! Huge food portions, great prices for drinks and amazing views! Definitely worth a visit! Dog friendly and beautiful outdoor garden! Love it! ^-^
