Really awesome food in a very nice pub. Staff are really friendly and attentive. We also stayed in one of the rooms which are reasonably priced. Breakfast was delicious. Compliments to the Chefs. We have been 3 times now and every time the food has been excellent. Parking: Plentiful
Drove in a bit late and the staff was very accommodating. The room was magnificent spacious, the cleanliness was the best I've experienced so far here. The breakfast was great and the staff very kind. Thanks guys for the wonderful expirence. Parking: Has more than enough space for the rooms. Wheelchair accessibility: Has ground level rooms for wheelchair access.
I ordered dinner from here fish and chips at £13.95 I expected a decent sized piece of cod but unfortunately that was not the case, the cod was not fresh and clearly being brought in frozen as well as being very small more like a child's portion not what I expected for the amount I paid. If you want value for your money I would AVOID eating here, total rip off.
Worked there two years, all fresh food and locally sauced. I worked in the bar mostly and helped on the floor. The beers and drinks were all kept very well also. Cellar clean and lines done often... I expect it'd be the same now. Great food and drinks
What a wonderful little find. Rooms are quaint and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is out of this world . Didn't expect it be so good. Breakfast was cooked to order and so much. The staff were amazing also. Cant wait to go back
I’ve eaten in a couple of times but, for the last few months, I’ve been living in house-renovation hell so I’ve had 9 deliveries! Every one has been absolutely perfect. Side order of vegetables is massive, perfectly seasoned and they always pay attention when I ask for less of one particular veg. No detail is too much - all requests are acknowledged. Everything’s cooked exactly as it should be and it’s all delicious.
Ideal location for visiting family in Elm. Lovely room, warm and comfortable with everything you need for an overnight stop. Plenty of tea and coffee facilities too. Possibly the only slight issue was the “babbling brook” we could hear on and off over night. Stayed in room 4 possibly above the pub toilets? Regardless we slept well. Thankyou
Stayed here for 10 days over Christmas whilst visiting family in the area. The ensuite double room was large and warm. Bathroom well appointed with good walk in shower and endless hot water. The large program choices available on TV was amazing. Plenty of tea and coffee. Had a couple of meals in restaurant excellent gastro pub meals and breakfast good. Fair price for quality and quantity. Staff friendly and helpfull throughout our stay. Will definitely stay here again when in area best hotel for miles. Only downside is most rooms up short flight of outside stairs, no problem if you're young and fit.
Visited this place twice, once on Sunday for a Sunday roast with my friends and then just for a normal dinner with my partner. The Sunday roast was absolutely amazing and the service is fantastic. Then when me and my partner visited he had a steak and I had a Kiev. My partner said that it is the most amazing steak he ever tried and the Kiev was perfect. I definitely recommend this place.
Went today for first time. Absolutely amazing . Delicious food. Gorgeous place and the staff were so so super friendly and awesome will be our new FAVE PLACE DEFINITELY
