Friendly staff, a large choice of meals and reasonable prices too. An ok choice of beers as well, nothing craft but some real ale in bottles nothing on keg or cask. But then you come for the fish and chips, not the beer. Large and spacious car park.
Great buzzing atmosphere, busy shop. Big selection of fish for a take away. Batter was tasty and crispy. Chips was fluffy and soft....As we ate straight away...One fish was. A little oily... Not had enough time to drain excess oil. Other than that 5 star!
Having now dined at this restaurant 4 times this year, this rates as one of the best fish and chips places I've ever been to. The fish and chip special with haddock is tasty and cooked to perfection, the tempura type batter is crispy and thin and the chips are delicious. The restaurant is pretty busy every time I've been there, but we have still been fitted in, even with my Mum in a wheelchair and she equally looks forward to going there again.
Good traditional fish and chip restaurant. Takeaway available. The food is good quality and staff cheery and helpful. Quite large inside, at least 80 I would say. Well spaced out, good access. Plenty of free parking on the doorstep. Apart from going upmarket with the decor there is nothing they can improve on,leave that to fancy restaurants. Pleasant enough as it is and resonable price. With so much space the atmosphere is a little down when only 33% full, suits me though, I would rather have the extra space.
Went here with a work group of retired friends. Staff were very welcoming. menus were quickly brought to our table, and drinks orders were taken. Food arrived promptly and was all nice ,hot, and fresh. It is a nice big area and is accessible for anyone in a wheelchair. Nothing was to much trouble.
This has to be my all-time favourite for the British classic of Fish & Chips. From the warm greeting into a spotless restaurant, through the dining experience to the cheery goodbye, the whole experience was faultless. To top it off, the fish and chips are fried in dripping. What more could you ask for. Parking: The restaurant is situated in a small cluster of retail outlets with ample parking for all.
Best fish and chips I have had in years! Compared to what we had in Australia, cod and haddock from England are too good and well prepared. Good environment to eat in and friendly staff members.
Was taken as a thank you and it was an absolute treat. I settled on lite bite haddock which was delicious and substantial for anyone who has a smaller appetite. Service was prompt, good humoured and friendly. Great value and everything crisp and freshly cooked.
Best skate nd cod we have had in years. Lovely restaurant. Clean. Friendly and efficient staff. Ample parking. Easy to find. Look forward to our next visit.
Lovely, cosy place. Had a delicious lunch with my son! Wish we lived closer to use regularly. Only popped in as was visiting a medical centre nearby. Great find!Food: 4/5
