Generally the sea Queen has always been fantastic especially the kebabs, they could feed a whole family! However today I just fancied a piece of fish and asked for a Large piece and actually asked the assistant if it was large as she was serving me to which she said yes! Upon getting home I am astounded that this piece if fish is large, maybe I'm greedy but if this large piece of fish and chips and peas is what £8 gets you then I think I would rather keep my £8. I should have just said there and then to refund me, my mistake. Sea Queen on this occasion yiu have really disappointed
Really disappointed , chips was so over cooked, and especially paying for 2 people i was disgusted , only fit for the birds . So embrassed giving them to my kids as they were hungry and money tight, never ever AGAIN.
Used this chippy for a number of years, would be the first to say that the food was great and service good. We've recently used it in the last month, including last night and vowed never to use this establishment again. Purchased chips and a kebab had no fish and the food was cold, chips soggy and kebab meat was awful. This was after experiencing two very rude female servers, that seemed drunk/high and dirty. Went down the road to Fish King to get some fish to complete our order and the staff and food was amazing. Seems we're not the ones disgusted with Sea Queen, in future will be taking our business to the Fish King!
Very nice, but check you have the right ordered before you exit the shop. Staff not very good you need to watch them very closely, called in again later evening once again given the wrong item. Very very expensive and you have to pay 50p to use your bank card.Food: 3/5
The staff dont listen to what you order like others have put, you want a large fish and end up with a small, peas instead of beans, salt and vinegar when I said no. Salty chicken meat, the batter is soggy and comes off the fish which sticks to the paper when you unwrap it. I always used this chippy but I just don't bother anymore as its a lottery to what you unwrap at home.
Had fishcake and chips last night and the chips were the worst chips I have ever had. Everyone of them were like reheated from the day before,they were all rock hard just inedible.You could tell they were not using chips potatoes but inferior potatoes,not ment for the use for chips.They were absolutely disgusting. If you like chips then dont go here ,I know I never will again.
Handling the food with dirty hands, cross contaminating, and not washing them. Illegally charges 50p for card transaction under £8. Used to be 5* but now not even deserving 1*
Alongside the usual, this chipshop has some great menu choices to choose from including battered halloumi, pea fritters and Chinese curry sauce. The quality of the food is good and the prices are reasonable. The shop has some bar seating where you can wait for your order or if you'd like to sit in. Overall, a good local chipshop.Food: 4/5
We had fish, chips and peas twice and another portion of chips, live less than a five min drive. Food cold all of it, air temp of 29. The chips and fish were rolled up, yes rolled, the fish had no batter left on it, the portions of chips were very small, totally disgusting
