What an awesome experience. The Ebrington not only delivered but exceeded my expectations. Compared to the 5 star hotel we stayed at in London, The Ebrington was far more superior. From the friendly service at check in to the restaurant and also house keeping. We ate at the Corner House twice and the service was excellent. Jack remembered what we ate and drank the first evening, which I found very exceptional. The chef is a class act, both our dinners and breakfast were excellent.nThis is definitely an underrated establishment that deserves 5 stars. I will remember Derry and its people thanks to people at The Ebrington.
Stayed here on Sunday and it started off well but went down hill. There was a bunch of women beside our room who were very noisy and didn't seem to have any respect for other people staying. Loud laughter shouting and running about like children.nI spoke to staff and they said they would sort it and after having heard no more from them I approached the front desk to complain again.nBasically they had done nothing about it mean while these girls went running past and out the front door like a herd if cows. So they saw for themselves and just let them get on with it they could if spoke to them at that point but didn't bother.nThe manager said he would speak to them but I doubt he would be there when they arrived back at whatever time.nI don't think other guests should have to put up with this rowdy behaviour. I just felt like I may as well not have bothered complaining .nThe same people were beside us at breakfast and the noise hadn't changed much.nnAnother thing the smoke alarm went off at 7 am and woke me up. I was told the room was too warm never heard the like of it.nnDisappointed as it was a birthday treat too.
Was here for a wedding and stayed for one night had breakfast.nRooms are great and food toonWould highly recommend this hotel located with great views overlooking the peace Bridge and walking distance to city centre.nIdeal for visiting the area.
Was really looking forward to this stay as booked the Ebrington reset… which included a 2 course dinner, late check out and access to the thermal spa. . The room was supposed to be an executive king but the bed was a double?, when arrived at restaurant to find the menu advertised online was completely different and a far more basic version, the food was inedible, left both meals, really disappointing because the as looking forward to the mixed grill which was advertised. Arrived at breakfast to greasy sausages, brown bacon and crusty black pudding/white pudding, literally only ate the beans. The rooms decor is lovely, they are slightly on the small side with a lack of windows, which in combination with the constant locked corridors felt prison-like. I’m unsure if the hotel has recently changed hands to cause such a drop in quality. Also on check in I was told I had to be checked out by 11am. The package is heavily misleading and website needs to be updated so the offer is more transparent because as it stands it’s quite frankly false advertising. I will be sending head office an email escalating the complaint as extremely unsatisfied. *edit* Just wanted to add that your staff are phenomenal, the restaurant staff at breakfast this morning were lovely and attentive which was just a shame about quality of the food. if standards were brought up I’d revisit due to this fact.
Room was very nicely decorated but not roomy to play cards or board games with family or friends on a table. Fantastic view. Best sleep I have had in a hotel room despite the noise from people opening and closing the fire door outside. There was no bath but the shower and sanitary ware seemed high quality. Best air conditioning system I have experienced in a hotel. The spa does not open till 9am and stops admitting at 7pm which meant we were unable to use it as we couldn't be there before 7pm and we're attending a conference at 9:30am. Dinner was underwhelming but breakfast was as good as I have ever had.
