nnFantastic stay, lovely staff and an excellent location!nnWe had an absolutely fantastic two-night stay at the Holiday Inn Express Derry and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.nnThe room was excellent, clean, spacious and well equipped with everything we needed, including a huge, comfortable king-size bed, large LED TV, iron, hangers and a lovely shower.nnWhat really stood out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, always smiling, welcoming and genuinely interested in making sure we were enjoying our stay. The hospitality was brilliant throughout.nnBreakfast was another highlight, with a great buffet selection. There was everything you'd expect from a traditional Irish breakfast, alongside continental options including fresh croissants, yoghurts and a variety of cereals. Plenty of choice to get your day off to a great start!nnThe location is ideal, right in the heart of Derry, with excellent access to the city's main attractions, shops, restaurants and everything else you'd want to explore.nnAnother great bonus was the validated parking at the nearby Q-Park. It's just a short walk from the hotel, secure and locked overnight, which gave us extra peace of mind knowing the car was safely parked.nnOverall, an excellent experience from start to finish. Great accommodation, fantastic staff, lovely breakfast and a brilliant central location. We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights here and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Highly recommended!
We were checked in by a very friendly young man who was informative.nOur room was very clean, as were the bedding and towels. Beds were comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Nice big shower with shampoo and body washnBreakfast was plentiful and lots to choose from!nWe liked that the hotel was only a 5 minute walk from the bus station, plus across the road there is a Tesco.nRight next door is a kebab shop and so cheap with lovely food.nI'd give this hotel a ten out of ten. Thank you!
The room was fine but the shower didn’t feel very clean unfortunately.nnThe check-in was easy and super friendly staff as you would expect virtually everywhere in Derry.nnThe breakfast was fine but they kept running out of either cups or forks etc which made it a bit of a nuisance, but I would still recommend this hotel.nnThe location is great, not too far from the bus station and you’re surrounded by great pubs, both large and noisy and small and quite.
The hotel is extremely well located, close to just about everything you’ll want to see in Derry, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Despite being so central, we experienced very little outside noise in the evening. Breakfast was also very good, and a clear step up from the typical make-your-own-waffle hotel breakfast. There’s a parking garage directly across the street with a hotel rate, and parking on many of the surrounding streets is free overnight.nnWe did run into an issue with the HVAC on our first night, but the response from the staff, particularly Ailéin and Thomas, was exceptional and made all the difference.nnYou learn a lot about an organization when something goes wrong. In our case, the team could not have handled it better. They were responsive, professional and genuinely committed to making sure we were looked after.nnA very positive stay, and the service is what I’ll remember most.
The staff were so helpful and coeliac aware which made my stay a lot more comfortable. My daughter was ill and they allowed me to take up food to the room and helped negotiate juggling keys with food and the elevator. Attached restaurant also very helpful with a dedicated gluten-free fryer and had a staff come up to the room with food and beverages.
