So , we phoned to ask if they were open for food and messaged to ask what time they served till, was told - Yes and serving till 8pm , only to make our way there and at 7pm told NO FOOD , don't think I will bother again , complete waste of time. Shame as was told how nice it was Maybe if you go , go early would be my advice
a somewhat quirky pub with fun decor. Set back from the high street with more of a "locals" or "in the know" kind of vibe going on. Great music and even an old juke box. Good range of beers and friendly welcome from the team. Surprisingly large area of outdoor seat, although more than half of it was reserved, so presumably a popular pub locally. I was visit Streatham, so not familiar with the place but would love to go back.
This is a great pub for a good pint and the music here’s excellent! I’ve seen some amazing bands play her and joined in on a few jam sessions. Great people and the locals are really sound. The landlords alright too
Very friendly pub. Went there first time on the evening the local hockey team played. The pub atmosphere changed in a few minutes and it was just buzzing with great vibes. Came back on the Sunday for the roast and wasn't disappointed. Make sure you get there early or book ahead or you'll lose out.
Beautiful and cosy pub with lovely owners. I could stay there all day.
Found this little gem behind the high road. Managed to find a pretty rare bourbon Eagle Rare and didnt have to pay that much either for it. Very laid back place
With so many small pubs closing down these days I am so happy to see that this little gem has survived. I used to live very close by then when i moved away i really missed it so very much. The staff are all very friendly but The Earl Ferrers would not be the same without its amazing Landlord. He is always smiling, is an amazing cook but most of all has a wealth of knowledge behind the bar and has introduced me too many fine spirits and invented some fantastic cocktails. When it comes to food this is where the pub really earns its reputation. The squid for starters was served perfectly with their own take on crispy seaweed and the squid lightly fried coming out perfect it is a dish which will definitely leave you wanting more. For main course i highly recommend the Jerk Chicken Salad. Most pubs serve Jerk Chicken and get it wrong....this pub serves it right full of robust flavours, just enough spice to make it authentic with great flavours throughout which doesn't blow your head off menaing those who do not like spice can still enjoy it. For dessert being summer there was only one decision and it was the Eton Mess which was a nice way to finish a fantastic meal. The cream was fresh with homemade meringue, beautiful strawberries and layers of fruity flavours throughout i actually didnt want it to end. All in all this pub caters for everyone and is not to be missed, i will definitely return again to Londons best family, dog friendly little local
It's a bit out of the way, but it's worth the walk from Streatham High Street. It's a proper old pub with brilliant jam sessions on Tuesday nights. The only downside is that they have to stop serving at 11pm on Tuesdays.
No range of cask ales as suggested on FB and What pub. Just a solitary Wantsum beer at £5.50 a pint!
Had a Sunday roast and it was delicious! Make sure you get their early before they sell out.
