Order chicken burger and it was delicious. Chicken was juicy and seasoning was perfect. Price was also very low for the size of the burger. Nice place for Saturday or Sunday chill.
Had a late lunch with my 2 nieces yesterday. Although they were very busy with Xmas bookings the service was excellent. After a short wait, the food arrived cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice to have a good pub that is such good value in the town center.
Now called The Beehive. Waited 20 mins after order was placed to be told pie had ran out. Waited over an hour for food all together. Staff friendly but very slow. They ran out of sour cream- so no dips with mushrooms or nachos no apology, even got charged the extra £5.20 as had to choose another option because no pie available, when I queried that my husbands burger would not come out before mine did, I was told by the manager its on a stacking system via the till! I had to point out it was their fault I was re choosing my food. They weren't even busy, about 30 covers in pub not many were eating maybe they were still waitng for their food! every body was waiting far too long for their food. Chips were warm on arrival. Won't be rushing back.
This place could be amazing, but it's just ok. It serves mediocre food that's cheap if you're on a budget. Very big back garden so good for kids. Also has lots of indoor and outdoor TV for sports. It's just worn out, toilets are falling apart and a shame that a big pub like this isn't invested more by it's brewery.
Since the eagle vaults has been under new management it's turned around. The food is better quality, the staff are polite and helpful. All round this pub has improved massively in the last few months
Do not go here for food!, beekeeper staff don't know what they do or not have on the menu, then a 25 minute wait to be told they don't have food on the menu, overly long wait for reordered food, poor staff helpfulness, missing items off of finial order, lukewarm food, overly very poor. On the plus price's are good and food would be good if hot.
Very poor experience Sunday 12/10/2014, had a birthday lunch booked for 8 people, pub was dirty, table was sticky, promised laid out table was forgotten, half the menu was out of stock, when the food arrived it was cold and the plates were dirty. We left without eating but no one seemed to care. do not go there.
Some times i just want to get a quick pint or i want to sit in a pub garden with friends and know if i do get hungry the food will be fast. The Vaults ticks all of my bxes for a quick lunch, quick pint or a very long afternoon/evening. As a bonus the taxi rank is just across the road
Town centre pub with a local feel. Staff and management are fantastic. It’s also the best breakfast in town and the beer garden is a real bonus when the sun comes out. Up for refurb soon so check it out
Keir and the staff where soo good and accommodating. Massive garden so good for the kids. Will definitely be coming back for the good pub grub at good prices. Was so pleasantly suprised at the experience.
