The place has been turned around nicely... shame siting in the bar area they messed up the log burner and filled the place with smoke and set off the alarms... we had to leave and my clothes smell of smoke. I'll go back but this eve was a disaster.
A group of us called in there after a meal in Konkan on new years eve. Not a bad welcome but not great, bar staff friendly enough, I was driving and ordered coffee - got instant coffee after a wait, not really good. Great smoking area and there were more customers out there than inside??
The Eagle house, a great place for a great pint of Guinness. The staff are all great, quick service, it's even predictive, what a joy. But if you wanna watch Rugby, better watch out, this is an all round sports pub, but the horses and soccer take precidenc here!!! Watchin the rugby final last Saturday, it was turned off, with 8min to go. We viewers complained, the response was unbelievable, Arogant, Unsympathetic, aggressive, Insulting, uncuth, he said the match was over 'cus we were so far ahead. But he had, in his own words, a pub full of soccer fans to satisfy. For the sake of 8mins couldn't the soccer fans wait, couldn't He wait. Should I go back to watch My rugby? What do You think? 30th. June 2018. Last night I had another altercation with the same barman. There was a mix-up with money I had left on the counter in my absence about E7. 00, not a lot but when it was brought to the attention of the barman, he lost the head, he ranted and became abusive and Insulting. He then, reluctantly gave me back the price of a pint. I would not argue with this man for fear of the consequences. Look out for this guy when you go to this great pub Aug. 25th. 2018. I was havin a pint, and "Johnny" was heading for the "loo", and the barman shouted "there's a lady in there, in a designated MALE" loo area "wait." he said. Johnny waited if it were me I'd say sodd that an' go, anyway when the "lady" emerged "Johnny" cud go an do his business. I ask, What's goin on in society now a days, can't a fella have his business without the interface of a "lady" Things are goin too far for these feminists - too far.
This is a great old traditional pub with friendly locals and a great pint. A great welcome from all. No problem recommending this pub and would be certain that a great night would be had on any given weekend.
Too bright. Clinical layout. Really young crowd. Extremely rude barman. Go to Dundrum House ... much nicer atmosphere & barman!
Great food one of the nicer bars in dundrum not the nicest food and service is top notch and one of the cheapest places to drink in dundrum what more could you ask for great for sports matches great atmosphere
Nice cousy big place. Prices are ok. Have a smoking area. And game tables for poker
Popped in and then left. Not comfortable with the level of covid compliance for my or my friends standard.
Good for a quick pint or two in Dundrum. Very close to the shopping centre. Great staff. Very helpful.
Best place to be in Dundrum. One of the oldest pubs. Well established. I love it here
